CMK College joins the Nasha Mukt Bharat–2047 campaign

On 02nd August 2026, under the "Nasha Mukt Yuva – Viksit Bharat" initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, CMK National PG College, Sirsa, witnessed Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's virtual address through the MY Bharat Portal. Principal Mrs. Anshu Uppal, faculty members, students, NCC cadets, and NSS volunteers also took the Digital Pledge for a Drug-Free India, reaffirming their commitment towards building a Nasha Mukt Bharat by 2047.

An intensive registration and awareness drive on the MY Bharat Portal has also been underway at the college since 01st July 2026, encouraging maximum youth participation in nation-building initiatives.

CMK National P.G. College, Sirsa organized an Online Financial Literacy Awareness Programme through Zoom under the aegis of NSDL. The programme was held under the guidance of Principal Mrs. Anshu Uppal.
The resource person, Ms. Payal Gupta (NSDL), delivered an informative session on financial planning, saving techniques, safe investments, financial fraud prevention, tax-saving strategies, and essential financial concepts. Mr. Pawan Thakur and Ms. Nishu from NSDL also interacted with the participants and shared valuable insights on responsible investing and financial awareness. Principal Mrs. Anshu Uppal appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of financial literacy in empowering students to make informed financial decisions.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Sarban Kamboj. A large number of students attended the online session with great enthusiasm. All faculty members were present, while Dr. Veerbala Sharma, Dr. Deepika Sharma, Dr. Saroj Goyal, Dr. Rati Tiwari, Dr. Nachhatar, Dr. Nisha, and Dr. Priti actively participated in the programme.

As per the directions of Director Higher Education, Haryana, the NCC and NSS units of CMK National PG College, Sirsa organized a plantation drive under the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" campaign. As part of the initiative, nearly 200 saplings were planted in and around the college campus to promote environmental conservation and encourage students to contribute towards a greener future.
The programme was presided over by the Principal, Mrs. Anshu Uppal, who emphasized the importance of tree plantation in maintaining ecological balance and urged students to take responsibility for protecting and nurturing the saplings. She stated that the campaign is a meaningful initiative that combines respect for mothers with the commitment to safeguarding nature.
On the occasion, NCC CTO Dr. Rachana and NSS Programme Officers Dr. Rati Tiwari and Dr. Sarban Kamboj actively participated in the plantation drive along with NCC cadets and NSS volunteers.
The programme concluded with a pledge by the participants to protect the planted saplings and continue working towards environmental sustainability through such meaningful initiatives.

सिरसा। सीएमके नेशनल स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय , सिरसा में शैक्षणिक सत्र 2026-27 के स्नातक प्रथम वर्ष (यूजी फर्स्ट ईयर) में प्रवेश प्रक्रिया के दौरान विद्यार्थियों में गजब का उत्साह देखने को मिला। प्रवेश के पहले ही दिन महाविद्यालय परिसर विद्यार्थियों एवं अभिभावकों की भारी भीड़ से गुलजार रहा। बी.ए., बी.कॉम., बी.बी.ए., बीएजेएमसी(पत्रकारिता एवं जनसंचार, बी.एससी. मेडिकल तथा बी.एससी. नॉन-मेडिकल सहित विभिन्न पाठ्यक्रमों में प्रवेश लेने के लिए बड़ी संख्या में विद्यार्थी सुबह से ही महाविद्यालय पहुंच गए। महाविद्यालय परिसर में प्रवेश के लिए विद्यार्थियों का उत्साह इतना अधिक रहा कि उपलब्ध सीटों की तुलना में कहीं अधिक संख्या में छात्र-छात्राएं प्रवेश के लिए पहुंचे। प्रवेश काउंटरों पर विद्यार्थियों की लंबी कतारें देखने को मिलीं। महाविद्यालय प्रशासन ने विद्यार्थियों की सुविधा के लिए अलग-अलग सहायता काउंटर स्थापित किए, जहां शिक्षकों एवं कर्मचारियों ने प्रवेश प्रक्रिया से संबंधित आवश्यक मार्गदर्शन प्रदान किया। महाविद्यालय प्राचार्या श्रीमती अंशु उप्पल ने बताया कि सीएमके नेशनल पीजी कॉलेज गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा, अनुशासित वातावरण, अनुभवी प्राध्यापकों, आधुनिक शिक्षण सुविधाओं तथा विद्यार्थियों के सर्वांगीण विकास के लिए जाना जाता है। यही कारण है कि प्रत्येक वर्ष की भांति इस वर्ष भी बड़ी संख्या में विद्यार्थी महाविद्यालय में प्रवेश लेने के लिए उत्साहित हैं। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों एवं अभिभावकों का स्वागत करते हुए कहा कि महाविद्यालय केवल शैक्षणिक उत्कृष्टता ही नहीं, बल्कि खेल, सांस्कृतिक गतिविधियों, एनसीसी, एनएसएस, योग क्लब , कौशल विकास, व्यक्तित्व विकास तथा रोजगारोन्मुखी कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों के उज्ज्वल भविष्य के निर्माण के लिए निरंतर कार्य कर रहा है। प्रवेश प्रक्रिया के दौरान महाविद्यालय का वातावरण उत्साह, उमंग और ऊर्जा से भरपूर रहा। विद्यार्थियों और अभिभावकों ने महाविद्यालय की सुव्यवस्थित प्रवेश व्यवस्था की सराहना करते हुए विश्वास व्यक्त किया कि सीएमके नेशनल पीजी कॉलेज उनके शैक्षणिक एवं व्यावसायिक भविष्य को नई दिशा प्रदान करेगा।

The Yoga Club of C.M.K. National P.G. College, Sirsa organized a “Conference” on the eve of International Day of Yoga–2026 in the directions received by Haryana Yoga Commission, Higher Education Department, Government of Haryana, and District AYUSH Department, Sirsa. The program was presided over by Principal Mrs. Anshu Uppal, while Dr. Ashu Sharma, District Ayurvedic Officer, Sirsa graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Eminent speakers Dr. Kiran Bhalla and District Yoga Coordinator Dr. Surender Nagar addressed the students on the importance of yoga, the role of yoga education in NEP, and the significance of a healthy lifestyle. In this program Deputy Supritendent Sh. Amrit Singh and Head of Department Commerce Smt. Sangeeta Nanda also expressed their views on the topics. The entire event was successfully organized under the supervision of Dr. Deepika Sharma, Nodal Officer, Yoga Club and NCC CTO Dr. Rachana Kamboj. NCC cadets and NSS Volunteers actively participated in the event.

Yoga Club of the college in coordination with NCC and NSS, successfully organized a Yoga Protocol Training Programme today in accordance with the guidelines of Haryana Yog Aayog, Directorate AYUSH Haryana, Panchkula and District Ayurvedic Office, Sirsa.
The programme was organized under the esteemed guidance of Principal Mrs. Anshu Uppal.
The training session was conducted by the AYUSH Department under the supervision of District Yog Coordinator Dr. Surender Nagar, along with AYUSH Yog Sahayaks Shri Pankaj, Shri Sahil and Ms. Priti, who guided the participants through the Common Yoga Protocol with great enthusiasm and dedication.
Dr. Deepika Sharma, Nodal Officer, Yoga Club coordinated the event successfully.
The programme witnessed the gracious presence of Deputy Superintendent Sh. Amrit Singh, Librarian Dr. Veerbala Sharma, NCC CTO Dr. Rachna, NSS Programme Officer Dr. Sarban, faculty members Ms. Nisha Setia, Dr. Seema Rani, Dr. Sabina, Mr. Rajesh Kumar and Mrs. Suman. All non-teaching staff members also participated enthusiastically in the session.
The event aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of yoga in maintaining physical fitness, mental well-being and a balanced lifestyle. The participants actively took part in the session and appreciated the initiative undertaken by the institution ahead of International Day of Yoga 2026.
