सिरसा, 21 जून।
“Yoga for One Earth, One Health” थीम के अंतर्गत शाह सतनाम जी गर्ल्स कॉलेज, सिरसा में अंतरराष्ट्रीय योग दिवस उत्साहपूर्वक मनाया गया। कार्यक्रम का आयोजन एनएसएस, एनसीसी, रेड रिबन क्लब, वाईआरसी, योग क्लब तथा शारीरिक शिक्षा विभाग के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में किया गया। इस अवसर पर योग क्लब इंचार्ज रमन सेठी ने छात्राओं को योगाभ्यास करवाया तथा योग के महत्व से अवगत कराया। कार्यक्रम को सफल बनाने में मैडम मीना, पूनम धमीजा एवं गुरप्रीत ने अपना विशेष सहयोग दिया। कॉलेज परिसर में छात्राओं ने योगासन, प्राणायाम एवं ध्यान का अभ्यास किया। इसके साथ ही कॉलेज की छात्राओं ने शहीद भगत सिंह स्टेडियम, सिरसा में आयोजित जिला स्तरीय योग कार्यक्रम में भी भाग लेकर स्वस्थ जीवन, मानसिक शांति और योग के महत्व का संदेश दिया।

"World Environment Day Observed with Oath-Taking Ceremony and Tree Plantation Drive".

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Red Ribbon Club and NSS Unit of Shah Satnam Ji Girls' College, Sirsa organised an oath-taking ceremony followed by a small tree plantation drive to spread awareness about environmental conservation among students.
The programme aimed to inspire students to contribute towards creating a greener and healthier Earth. During the event, participants pledged to protect the environment and adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives. The message highlighted major environmental challenges such as pollution, excessive energy consumption, waste generation, and the growing imbalance in nature caused by modern lifestyles.
It was emphasised that the exploitation of natural resources is making life increasingly difficult and unhealthy.The studen ts were encouraged to use energy responsibly, reduce waste, and actively participate in environmental protection activities. The tree plantation drive served as a symbolic step towards restoring ecological balance and promoting sustainable development.
On this occasion, the efforts and participation of all volunteers, faculty members, and students were highly appreciated. Yoga Fortnight Training Session Commences with Zeal.

As part of the Yoga Fortnight celebrations, being observed from 5th June to 15th June 2026, a yoga training session for students commenced today in active collaboration between the Yoga Club and the Department of Physical Education.
Ms Raman and Ms Rajvanti conducted the session,from the Department of Physical Education, and provided practical training and guidance to the participating students. The programme aims to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and awareness of the benefits of yoga among students.
The college looks forward to a series of activities and training sessions during the Yoga Fortnight to encourage a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

M.A. Public Administration (3rd Semester)
Shah Satnam Ji Girls' College
A Project Report Viva-Voce for the students of M.A. Public Administration, 3rd Semester, was successfully conducted at Shah Satnam Ji Girls' College. The viva examination was organized to evaluate the students’ understanding, research skills, presentation abilities, and knowledge related to their project topics.
During the viva session, students presented their project reports confidently and explained the objectives, methodology, findings, and conclusions of their research work. The external and internal examiners interacted with the students and asked various subject-related questions to assess their analytical thinking and practical understanding of Public Administration concepts.
The students actively participated in the viva and demonstrated good communication skills, confidence, and subject knowledge. The examiners appreciated the efforts made by the students in preparing their project reports and encouraged them to continue developing their research and academic abilities.
The viva-voce was conducted smoothly in a disciplined and academic environment under the guidance of the faculty members of the Department of Public Administration. Overall, the activity proved to be highly beneficial for the students as it enhanced their confidence, presentation skills, and practical understanding of the subject.

NCC Army Wing Conducted Flood Disaster Mock Exercise

A Mock Exercise on Flood Disaster Management was successfully conducted on 14 May 2026 by the NCC Army Wing under the guidance of CTO Meena Rani. The activity was organized to spread awareness among cadets regarding disaster preparedness, emergency response, and rescue management during flood situations.

During the exercise, Ms. Raman Sethi, Assistant Professor in Physical Education, guided the cadets about important life-saving techniques and safety measures to be followed during emergencies and natural disasters. She explained the procedure for providing CPR in emergency situations, the precautions to be taken in case of bone fractures, and the proper methods to control bleeding before medical assistance arrives.

The cadets actively participated in the activity and learned several useful first-aid skills and disaster management techniques. The session proved to be highly informative and beneficial for all participants.

Principal Dr. Geeta Monga appreciated the efforts of the NCC Army Wing and encouraged the cadets to actively participate in such awareness and training activities. She motivated them to remain prepared to serve society during emergencies and disaster situations.
