Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa, celebrated World Brotherhood Day at Tagore Lecture Theatre in memory of Swami Vivekananda’s historic Chicago address. The event was organized by the Office of Dean Student Welfare in collaboration with Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari (Sirsa branch). Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Vijay Kumar, as Chief Guest, emphasized that the message of universal brotherhood binds humanity together and announced the establishment of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Swami Vivekananda forums. Renowned educationist Dr. Ashok Batra, as the keynote speaker, inspired students to embrace unity in diversity and follow Vivekananda’s ideals of peace, harmony, and determination. Dr. Virender Singh Chauhan, Director, HIRD, highlighted fraternity as the foundation of progress. Representatives of Vivekananda Kendra shared insights on Swami Ji’s philosophy of self-respect, self-reliance, and moral living. The program was graced by senior faculty members, officers, staff, and a large number of students who resolved to imbibe the values of unity, peace, and humanity.
