Principal Lingee SSS Shri Prahlad Sharma called on Chairman Cum SMC Sir Tshering Lepcha for a courtesy visit today on 5 November 2020. Principal congratulated him for being a history creator from our village.

Various issues of the school were discussed. Principal apprised him that since school premises is an open space 24Ă—7 to all the strangers due to absence of fencing, it faces various threats to properties including health hazards and covid 19 from unknown persons. In order to protect children from covid spread, awareness is given and probable touch spots are being sensitized every morning by school level itself through portable spray machines.
School is closed for classes up to VIII. We are concerned about the education of the children and worried about health safety too. Though offline and online classes are continued, online classes are not successful in our areas due to various reasons. So, Primary teachers are deputed to visit houses of all the children for home schooling at suitable pockets.
As a part of home schooling, after obtaining the consent of parents, teachers may call students of class VI to VIII day wise group wise in suitable school premises for effective guidance once or twice in a week. Since it is not possible to call all parents/SMC meeting due to pandemic, class wise parents may be invited to discuss the matter and seek consent.
Academic improvement, Shortage of teaching and no teaching staff along with water scarcity and infrastructure maintenance and upgradation to be paid urgent attention were also discussed with him.
Sir Tshering Lepcha gave a patient hearing and assured of all possible help from his personal and official level. Matters of urgent and important nature including water supply and toilet repairs will be taken by him in a priority basis.
Principal thanked him for taking initiative to solve the problems of the school.
