Challamthang JHS observed Bhasha Diwas today through a special assembly, ahead of Nepali Bhasha Manyata Diwas on 20th August.

Students, teachers, and the Headmaster shared the significance of the day, commemorating the recognition of Nepali language in the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution in 1992 and honouring the efforts of those who contributed to its recognition.

A special day made even more meaningful! On the occasion of Master Suhant Kami’s birthday, his parents generously sponsored a special Mid-Day Meal for all students and staff. 🍚💛

Kheer and Aloo Dum were served, spreading joy, kindness, and togetherness throughout the school.

Proud Moment for Govt. JHS Challamthang 🎉

Govt. JHS Challamthang is delighted and proud to announce that our students secured 3rd position in the JH-level Ramayan Path Competition held on 11th July, 2026, as part of the 212th Bhanu Jayanti Celebration organised by Kala Kalam Sangam, Bermiok Namphing, on 13th July, 2026.

This achievement is a matter of great pride for the entire Challamthang School family. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the participating students for their dedication, confidence, and commendable performance. The school also expresses its sincere gratitude to the mentor teachers, Mrs. Bhumika Sharma and Ms. Yooma Shiwahang Rai, whose constant guidance, encouragement, and dedicated efforts played a vital role in this success. International Day of Yoga was observed with enthusiastic participation of students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff. The session focused on promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

Together, we stretched, breathed, and embraced the journey towards a healthier mind and body.

A Parents–Teachers- SMCs-Stake holders Coordination Meeting was held in the school to discuss important matters related to students' academic progress, discipline, attendance, and overall development.
During the meeting, the school warmly welcomed Ms. Pramila Tamang, the newly appointed PRT, by the School Head, Shri Jikmey Bhutia.
The meeting was attended by Ward Panchayat Smt. Sarita Rai, along with the SMC President, SMC members, parents, and guardians.
Valuable suggestions and feedback were shared by all participants for the betterment of the students and the school.
