ফরেস্ট অফিসার মোহন যখন সংবাদ মাধ্যমকে তার বিবৃতি দিলেন তখন সেটা দেখে স্তম্ভিত হয়েগেছিলেন সমস্ত সাংবাদিক।

তিনি বলেছিলেন,

" ডাক্তার যখন হাতিটির ময়নাতদন্ত করেন তখন তিনি বলেন যে হাতিটি 6 মাসের অন্তঃসত্ত্বা ছিল। কাঁপা গলায় আরও জানান যে হাতিটির মধ্যে একটা 6th সেন্স কাজ করেছিল। সে জানতো তার মৃত্যু আসন্ন। শুঁড় সহ গোটা শরীর রক্তময়, যন্ত্রণায় জ্বলছিল সারা দেহ। এই অবস্থায় সে তার সন্তানের কথা ভেবে চলে যায় নদীর মাঝে জলের মধ্যে যাতে সেই রক্তাক্ত জায়গায় পোকা-মাকড় না বসে। যতক্ষণ প্রাণ ছিল সে চেষ্টা করেছিল যাতে তার সন্তানের কষ্ট একটু হলেও কম হয়।
আর শেষ অবধি সে ওই মাঝ নদীতেই প্রাণ ত্যাগ করে। "

কেরলের Silent valley national park এর একটি 15 বছরের অন্তঃসত্ত্বা হাতি Malappuram এর একটি গ্রামের কাছে চলে আসে খাবারের সন্ধানে। সেখানে একটা আনারস খেতে দেওয়া হয় তাকে এবং সেটি খেয়ে নেয় সে। আনারসটির ভেতর বাজি ভর্তি ছিল। খাওয়া মাত্রই বাজি গুলো তার মুখে ফেটে যায়। রক্তাক্ত হয়ে যায় সারা মুখ।

তবুও নিজের সন্তানের কথা ভেবে সেই রক্তাক্ত শরীর নিয়েই ছুটে বেড়ায় সারা গ্রাম একটু খাবারের খোঁজে। শেষ অবধি সে খাবার পায়নি আঘাত ও করেনি কোনো গ্রামবাসী কে, ভাঙেনি কোনো ঘর। সোজা চলে এসে মাঝ নদীতে চুপচাপ দাঁড়িয়ে থাকে শেষ নিঃশ্বাস পর্যন্ত। বহু চেষ্টাতেও তাকে সরানো যায়নি সেখান থেকে।

ATTEMPT TO R**E IN SILIGURI

Somewhere around 9:30 PM

We were going on a small ride to Fulbari, while returning back home we saw two people aggressively fighting. From a distance we thought they must be some young boys fighting for no reason. But as we came closer we saw the horrifying scene. A lady was being dragged from the middle of the Asian Highway to the darker side behind a truck and where there were bushes and behind which there was a wall. She was brutally being dragged by her hair.We stopped the bike immediately and yelled to ask if it was family matter which went too aggressive but as soon as we stepped down from the bike the person fled away and vanished. The lady sounded as if she was struggling and fighting for quite a good time. She was exhausted and in a slight bit of trauma too. Fortunately some people caught the man trying to escape. They caught him brought him near the truck. The man was drunk.crowd gathered quickly. They started to beat him. Some people called police as well. It was found out that he was the truck driver. The truck which was near when the incident occurred was his truck. The truck drivers intention was to drag her pull her inside the truck and R**E her.Public and us were still beating him. While some people advised the truck driver to be inside to be safe from the crowd. While everyone was trying to get him out of his truck the truck driver took a chance and started the engine. He pushed onto the accelerator to scare people in the front but he managed to run away. Nobody recorded the truck number so we chased the truck. From Uttarkanya we kept on chasing. We thought perhaps we will get some police officers near Tinbatti more but there was no one. We overtook the truck in order to reach to the police and inform them about the same so at least they could stop the truck. As soon as we reached Nowkaghat police booth the truck fled towards Medical or maybe Shivmandir.We informed the Nowkaghat Police Booth and the they made necessary phone calls.

If anyone has seen the truck with the number HR 38 S 2347. Please stop it immediately and inform police or me at least so that we can make this place a bit decent to live in.

Today it was that lady tomorrow it might be your mother, sister or your wife.

#হারানো_গল্প

কোনো নেতা মরে গেলে,অভিনেতা মরে গেলে শোকাতুর পোস্ট এর ঝড় বয়।
আর 29th মে আমফান ঝড়ের রাতে একটা নার্সিং অফিসার ডিউটি করতে করতে অসুস্থ হয়ে নিজেই শয্যাশায়ী রোগী হয়ে মারা গেলেও কেউ জানতে পারে না ।

সুনীতা মন্ডল, পেশায় সেবাব্রতী (নার্স) । মুর্শিদাবাদ মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতাল। ফিমেল মেডিসিন ওয়ার্ড । কোভিড ওয়ারিওর । আমরা আমাদের আর এক সহযোদ্ধাকে হারালাম।

ব্যক্তিগত সূত্রের খবর---
PCOD ছিলো, সেদিন সাডেনলি পেটের ব্যথা আর প্রচন্ড বমি নিয়ে ভর্তি হয়। কোনো ফ্লুইড,ওষুধ কাজ করেনি, ইউরিন আউটপুট ভালো ছিলো না, প্রেসার 60/10 , kidney failure । MMCH এর CCU থেকে NRS আর SSKM এ রেফার করলেও বাড়ির লোক আনতে পারেনি , বেড নেই । কারন,এতবড় হাসপাতালে ক্যাচ না মারলে বেড পাওয়া যায় না ITU,CCU তে। পেশেন্ট নিজেই স্বাস্থ্যকর্মী হলেও এটা কোনো CATCH হতে পারেনা। কারন, catch হতে আমলাতন্ত্রী,মন্ত্রীসান্ত্রী হতে হয় ।
শেষমেশ একটি বেসরকারি হাসপাতালে নিয়ে গেলেও ডাক্তারবাবু দেখেই জানান অবস্থা ভালো না, intubate করা হয়,2 বার dialysis করা হয়। কিন্তু সব বিফলে যায়। আর পরিবার ও পারছিলনা বেসরকারি হাসপাতালের খরচা বহন করতে ।

মাত্র দেড়বছর এই প্রফেশন আশা, অনেক স্বপ্ন নিয়ে। আর কুড়িতেই ঝড়ে গেলো কুঁড়ি। কতটুকুই বা বয়স তার জীবন যার শুরু হলোনা মোটেই! অচিরেই নিভে গেল। ভীষন প্রাণবন্ত,সদা প্রাণোচ্ছল একটি মেয়ে, যে সারাক্ষণ কাজ কাজ কাজ আর কাজ করে মাথা খেত । অথচ কোনো ক্লান্তির ছাপ ছিল না তার সদা হাস্যময় মুখটিতে ।

এই সেদিন ও যে মেয়েটি সারা ওয়ার্ডময় ঘুরে ঘুরে রোগীকে সেলাইন চালিয়েছে,মেডিসিন খাইয়েছে ,ইজেক্শন দিয়েছে, জ্বর মেপেছে,সুগার-প্রেসার চেক করেছে,খাবার খাইয়েছে, কখন কাউকে এক ইশারায় গোল্লা পাকানো চোখ দেখিয়ে চুপ করিয়েছে, কারোর মাথায় হাত রেখে সেরে ওঠার তাকৎ জুগিয়েছে অন্যকে, সে নিজেই আজ চুপ,অচল ,অসাড়। নিজেই আর সেরে উঠতে পারল না । সে আর কোনো পেশেন্ট এর নাম আর বেড নাম্বার ধরে ছুটি নিয়ে যাও বলে ডাক দেবেনা । সে নিজেই ছুটি নিয়েছে যে চিরতরে।

সুনীতা তোমার অসুম্পূর্ণ লড়াই আমরা এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাবো। এ লড়াই আমরা জিতব। তুমি তোমার সহকর্মী সহযোদ্ধাদের মাঝেই বেঁচে থাকবে ।
তবে, আমি বলবো তুমি আবার ফিরে এসো আমাদের মাঝে, আমাদের সহযোদ্ধা হয়ে ।

ঈশ্বর তোমার আত্মা শান্তি দিক।
