Vidyasagar College of Education, Phansidewa, Darjeeling celebrated National Youth Day 2024 by visiting “ApnaGhar” , an old age home in Siliguri. The theme for National Youth Day 2024 is “Viksit Yuva-Viksit Bharat.” This theme reflects a focus on youth empowerment and nation-building. The intention was to bridge the gap between the youth and old so that the trainees could understand their responsibility towards elder citizens of the society.The motto was to arise and awaken their sense of service before self and do the needful for the society so that they could understand the theme of “Today's Youth for Yesterday's Youth”. The trainees organized a programme to entertain the old people in Apnaghar. They also took some packaged food items, woolen items as a token of love.
