The pre-primary students of NPRS Laketown branch celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. A variety of fun and engaging activities were organized to help the young learners understand the importance of freedom and develop love and respect for our country. Class Nursery participated in a creative tricolor collage activity. The students of LKG prepared beautiful tricolor handprint artwork and our UKG students engaged themselves with coloring India's national flag with bubble artwork activity. The cheerful participation of the young learners made these activities enjoyable and memorable.

*"Freedom is not merely a gift from the past,it is a responsibility we carry into the future."*

The 80th Independence Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at NPRS Laketown Branch. The celebration was a wonderful opportunity for students to remember the courage, sacrifices, and determination of the freedom fighters who fought for our nation's independence.
The programme began with the hoisting of the Tricolour, followed by the National Anthem. Our Headmistress ma'am delivered an inspiring and encouraging words to portray the importance of patriotism. Students presented patriotic songs, dances, recitation, and cultural performances that beautifully reflected the spirit of unity in diversity. Students were encouraged to respect the nation, preserve its rich heritage.
The atmosphere was filled with pride, joy, and patriotism as students and teachers came together to celebrate the spirit of freedom. The ex-students of NPRS added spirit to the program with their presence.
The programme concluded with the national song to uphold the values of freedom, equality, unity, peace, and national pride.

A Parent-Teacher Meeting was successfully conducted at North Point Residential School Laketown Branch on 7th of August, to strengthen the partnership between parents and teachers for the holistic development of students. Parents interacted with teachers to discuss their children's academic performance, behaviour, attendance, and overall progress. Teachers shared constructive feedback, appreciated students' achievements. Parents also shared their views and concerns, making the meeting interactive and meaningful. The PTM concluded on a positive note, reinforcing the importance of continuous communication and cooperation between home and school for every child's success.

Karate is more than just a sport, it is a way of life that teaches discipline, respect, courage, and self-confidence.

On 5th of August, NPRS Laketown Branch officially commenced its karate classes to provide students with an opportunity to improve their physical fitness while learning valuable self-defence techniques.
Under the able guidance of Mr Subir Sarkar and Ms Trija Biswakarma, the students learnt the introductory drills and moves of karate.

The students of grade I -V participated with enough enthusiasm and eagerness to enhance their skills.

An Interhouse Quiz Competition was successfully organized on 01 August 2026 at North Point Residential School, Laketown Branch, with the aim of encouraging curiosity, enhancing general awareness, and developing critical thinking skills among students. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all the houses.
The quiz consisted of several challenging rounds, including General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Visual Identification, Audio Round, Rapid Fire, and Buzzer Round. Each team displayed remarkable confidence, teamwork, and presence of mind while answering the questions.
The competition created an atmosphere of excitement and healthy rivalry. Participants impressed everyone with their quick thinking, accuracy, and depth of knowledge, while the audience enthusiastically cheered for their respective houses.
The event was conducted smoothly under the guidance of the teachers and judges, ensuring fairness and discipline throughout the competition.

NPRS, Laketown Branch observed the 212th birth anniversary of Bhanu Bhakta Acharya to honour and respect him for his invaluable contribution towards the Nepali culture.

To mark the special day, the students as well as the teachers performed to pay the sincerest tribute to the Adikavi.

Van Mahotsav is a PAN India tree planting festival celebrated annually from 1 July- 7 July. It is also known as "Festival of Forests." It was established in 1950 by K.M Munshi to emphasize the importance of forests and the need for afforestation.

On 7 th July, 2026 NPRS, Laketown Branch, observed Van Mahotsav with the formation of Eco Club for students followed by the plantation drive through placards to enhance students' environmental sensibility and protection with a sense of responsibility.
