Among the good rice, so many pebbles have mixed in that it has become impossible to distinguish between the rice and the pebbles. By the historic ruling of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, the entire panel of the West Bengal SSC has been annulled, with almost 26,000 jobs being revoked. The Supreme Court delivered a landmark verdict against corruption. However, some deserving candidates have been caught in the same fate as the unqualified. When a wildfire spreads, whether it is a date palm tree or a sandalwood tree, it must burn everything in its path. But, the candidates who did not get the job due to corruption — were they any less deserving? Those who held the job for so long, now that they have lost it, did they not realize the years of suffering endured by those who were qualified but never got the job? Did anyone think about the pain of those deserving candidates all these years? Today, when the responsibility for the loss of 26,000 jobs is being questioned, it is indeed a pertinent issue. However, the Hon’ble Court has provided a new opportunity for the truly deserving candidates, but that opportunity must be earned through a rigorous test, much like how Mother Sita proved her worth. Within three months, they must prove their eligibility again. I do not know if corruption will rise once again in this new recruitment process.
