We are thrilled to congratulate our outstanding karatekas for their remarkable performance at the South Assam Zonal Karate Championship 2026, held on 4–5 April at Nagaon.
Our athletes showcased exceptional skill, discipline, and fighting spirit, bringing home multiple medals and making the dojo proud

Under the patriarch of the dojo family, whose orbs watched from behind thin rimmed glasses the snapping tournament banners under which the fighters faced their foe, the scoreboards flashed numbers that cumulated towards victory. Upon the Cachar tournament's conclusion, medals were swinging in the evening breeze, clinking softly together over the gi of our fighters.

NIT Silchar Karate Dojo shines at the 6th Cachar District Karate Championship! 🥋
18 players represented the institute, winning 28 medals (8 Gold, 10 Silver, 10 Bronze).
13 athletes secured merit positions, and all players qualified for the South Zonal Karate Championship.

NIT Silchar Karate Dojo proudly announces that at the 6th Cachar District Karate Championship, 18 players represented NIT Silchar with exceptional dedication and discipline. Out of these, 13 players secured merit positions. Their outstanding performance resulted in an impressive overall medal tally, and all players have been selected for the South Zonal Karate Championship.
