National Institute Of Technology Silchar is a higher education institute situated in Silchar, Assam, India. It is surrounded by beautiful lakes and hillocks.
NIT Silchar, an Institute of National Importance under the NIT Act was established in 1967 as Regional Engineering College, Silchar. In year 2002, it was upgraded to the status of an NIT from a Regional Engineering College. It is situated on a sprawling campus spread over 600 acres of land on the outskirts of Silchar amid breathtaking scenery.

Tecnoesis, the annual techno-management fest of NIT Silchar celebrated the musical night for closing ceremony on 10th Nov 2014 headlined by 'Baiju Dharmajan Syndicate'. Baiju, often referred to as ‘The God of Small Strings’ is one of India’s most revered and celebrated guitar players.

Upon request from many teams, we have decided to change the format of the debate. Now both of the participants from a hostel will have the same stand. To decide the stands of various hostels a lottery system will be adopted. Hence, all the participants are requested to be present in the new gallery tomorrow (31 Januray) at 5pm so that their stands can be decided. Please send a representative if you are unable to come.
