Today, ABVP delegation submitted a memorandum to Hon'ble V.C Sir, Assam University praying him to graciously extend the date of online application for admission to A.U.S and it's affiliated colleges keeping in view the larger interests of students community that was threatened due to flood and several landslides resulting in breakdown of communication system in the State of Assam & it's adjacent regions.

Candidates may apply online for the course(s) on payment of Rs. 500.00 (for General and OBC students) and Rs. 300.00 (for
SC/ST/PWD students) through online payment. The weblink for the purpose shall be https://www.ausadmission.in/ . Website
shall be active for application from 26.05.2017 to 25.06.2017. A help desk for filling up of online form is opened at the computer
centre of Assam University for applicants not having access to internet connection.
The candidates who have appeared/ are appearing in TDC Part III/6th Semester examination 2017 of Assam University or any
other recognized university may also apply for admission to PG Courses. However, such candidates must submit their complete
result of the TDC examination in the concerned department as per last date to be notified in due course of time.
Separate application should be submitted for each course (up to a maximum of two courses in any campus). The last date of online
application is 25th June, 2017.

The potentially of social media is omnipresent and today it has again been proved when the real face of AUSU election got published in Facebook when a student called Ramjul Ali Barbhuiya of social Work Dept. who was also a contestant in the AUSU election 2016-17 endeavored it to do..
The post by Mr. RAMJUL ALI BARBHUIYA has undoubtedly brought into limelight the situation of student elections at assam university,silchar campus...the barter system of votes...the dual character of the candidates...the money game...nothing has remained behind the curtain every facet of election has been unveiled....the revelation made by Mr Arun Das ( a close aide of the G.S.) about the barter system they carried during the elections,has certainly raised a big question on the integrity of the so called student leaders...it is crystal clear that the G.S. has played with the emotions of the studenty fraternity of Aus...he himslf has called himself a double faced character...
If this is the practice of the so called leaders then it is a thinkable matter as to what will be the future of our democracy??
Persons like them are threat to our democracy and an impetus of corruption!!

Assam University will shortly publish/introduce its online admission portal for the academic session 2017-18....
www.aus.ac.in is the official website of Assam university in which all required and updated information regarding admission & various courses will be provided from time to time ..

Dear AUSians cm ABVPians,

You all are well aware about the saddening incident that took place in Sukma district of Chattisgarh on 24th April in which 26 brave soldiers cm valiant sons of mother India were shot severely that succumbed into their death along with causing grievous injuries to many other proud sons of India by the coward Naxalists !!

So let us not go in vain the sacrifices made by our brave soldiers by not bowing down to any anti-national and terrorist element..
Keeping this notion in mind, ABVP, Assam University unit unitedly along with the entire nation is going to organise a tomorrow to pay its homage and tribute to the Marty for their selfless sacrifices..
