Our Condolences

The Vision for Mission program of BES was held on the 13th September , 2025 in collaboration with Barakhai High School, Fakirtilla near Silchar. It was a successful program under the motivational scheme of the society. Interested High school authorities may contact us for holding such program at their own institutions.

Barak Education Society has taken initiative to spread it activities across the three districts of Barak Valley to regain its earlier organisational strength. Cooperation from education lovers is solicited.

Barak Education Society was established on the 21st February,1997 at a meeting of some students of Assam University and few staff members. It has traditonal existence of more than 28 years and it has been a registered NGO till date facing many ups and downs . The society was started to create awareness among the mass people about quality education and female education in Barak valley. As per constitution of the society there is a high level Advisory Committee headed by Janab Taimur Raja Chaudhury, Editor, Dainik Samayik Prasanga, Silchar.

Barak Education Society is an unique NGO which has an asset of more than 50 ( fifty) Ph.D degree holders from reputed universities. Academician may join us.

The Central Executive Committee has been reconstituted at the Annual General Meeting of Barak Education Society held on the 3rd August Sunday, 2025. Prof . Asoke Kr Sen, renowned scientist and Senior professor, Assam University has been selected as President and Mr. Lal Mia Laskar, Sr. Development Officer, LICI as General Secretary, Dr. Subhadeep Roychowdhury, Associates professor, Assam University and Alhaz Milon Uddin Ladkar, senior journalist as working president, Dr. Abul Hassan Chaudhury, Deputy Registrar, Assam University as Central Coordinator, Mr. Abul Hussain Laskar, Divisional Manager, UIIC Ltd as Vice President, Adv. Mahmud Hasan Mazumder as Joint Secretary and Dr. Nazmul Hussain Laskar, Assistant Professor as Central program Coordinator and other officers were selected.

Prof. Asoke Kr Sen, Department of Physics, Assam University and notable Scientist of Space Science has taken over the charge of President of Barak Education Society. We wish him all success of his new mission for social service.

It is a good news that Barak Education Society has been granted renewal of registration under society registration act XXI of 1860 up to 01.09.2026. We hope to get constant support from all respected members, well wishers and education lovers across all communities to continue its activities for promotion quality education and social harmony.

Barak Education society invites all respected members, advisors, patrons and book lovers to make it convenient to attend the books release program tomorrow, Sunday, sharply at 11-30 AM at Iris English School, near Katal point, Silchar.
