🌸 A Heartfelt Gesture by Rotary Club of Silchar 🌸

Today, our NGO had the privilege of hosting the Rotary Club of Silchar for a special saree distribution event just in time for the festive season! 🙏

With Durga Puja around the corner, the Rotary Club's thoughtful initiative brought smiles to many faces as they generously distributed sarees to women in need. This act of kindness truly embodies the spirit of the festival, reminding us of the power of community and the importance of supporting each other. 🎉
A big thank you to the Rotary Club of Silchar for their incredible support and dedication to spreading joy this Puja season. Together, we can continue making a difference. 💖

Janmashtami, also known as Krishna Janmashtami, is a Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna. One of the key traditions of this festival is the "Dahi Handi" event, particularly popular in parts of India like Maharashtra.

Dahi Handi is a fun and energetic event where teams form human pyramids to reach and break a pot (handi) filled with curd (dahi), butter, or other goodies. The pot is often hung high above the ground, making it challenging to reach. The event symbolizes the playful and mischievous nature of Lord Krishna, who, as a child, was known for stealing butter from pots hung out of reach.

The Dahi Handi celebration brings communities together, with participants and spectators enjoying the spirit of teamwork, competition, and festivity. The atmosphere is usually filled with music, cheering crowds, and a lot of excitement.

Yesterday’s Janmashtami Hundi program was likely full of enthusiasm, with participants trying their best to break the handi and everyone enjoying the festive mood.

Janmashtami, which marks the birth of Lord Krishna, is traditionally celebrated with great devotion and joy across India and in various parts of the world. Aarti, a devotional ritual, is a key part of the festivities, where devotees sing praises and offer lighted lamps to the deity.

If you're participating in or witnessing the aarti, it is usually accompanied by the singing of bhajans (devotional songs), the ringing of bells, and the offering of flowers, sweets, and other symbolic items. This moment is deeply spiritual, bringing together the community in prayer and devotion.

Yesterday, on 21st June 2024, our VPK coaching center was filled with positive energy as our students participated enthusiastically in Yoga Day celebrations. It was heartwarming to see everyone come together to embrace the spirit of health and wellness through yoga.

Yoga not only strengthens the body but also nurtures the mind and soul. Our students demonstrated great dedication and mindfulness during the sessions, guided by our experienced instructor. It was a joy to witness their progress and commitment to a healthier lifestyle.

A big thank you to all the students who participated and made this event a success! Let's continue to incorporate the benefits of yoga into our daily lives for a happier and healthier future.
