Oral hygiene is an integral part of one’s good health and hygiene. To maintain the same, periodic dental health check-ups are very essential. In view of the
same the school annual dental health checkup was organized for all students from Nursery
to V. The checkup was piloted by the Dr. Prakash Choudhary (Dental Surgeon) ,Mrs. Sunita Fenin (Marudhara Dental Hospital) and team.The team spoke to the
students about the importance of oral and dental care and explained in details about the
possible root causes of the dental and oral health problems. A demonstration on the
correct way of brushing the teeth, step wise, was also given by Dr. Aasif . The
students were checked thoroughly and the observations were recorded in the dental health
card of every student. Students with any cause of concern were advised further
consultation with their dentist. The camp was very beneficial for the students since it not
only created an awareness about the need to maintain oral hygiene but also helped in
identifying any dental problem like cavities, caries, or irregularity of teeth eruption .
