then,
mg.sinθ =μN
where μ is the coefficient of friction and N is the normal reaction.

N =mg.cosθ
now,
mg.sinθ = μmg.cosθ
tanθ = μ
θ = tan–¹(μ)
here θ is known as angle of repose.
