Sivasagar, 6th July 2024: Today, Doon Public School, in partnership with Doons Welfare Association, organized a Flood Relief Drive to aid victims of recent floods along the banks of the Dikhow River. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of Doons Welfare Association, including Samir Nath, Isfaqur Rahman and Tridib Bhuyan and others alongside Some of dedicated teachers from Doon Public School, Sivasagar.

The drive extended its support to several severely affected areas including 1 No. Gopalpur Gaon, 2 No. Gopalpur Gaon, Sripuria Ghat, Bukabil Gaon, Morogia Gaon, Halmoria Gaon, and Jogoniya Gaon, among others. Over 300 flood-affected families benefitted from the relief efforts, received essential supplies such as rice, dal, potatoes, sugar, mustard oil, salt, biscuits and drinking water etc.

Youth from the Dikowmukh area like Robin Boruah and some others played a pivotal role in assisting Doons Welfare Association for the distribution of relief items, highlighting the community's collaborative effort in alleviating distress during this challenging period.
