My daughter attended a dance program at the temple and found two lost kittens trapped under a big, bushy shrub outside.

She immediately rescued both kittens , gifted one to her friend and brought other one home.

Nervously, showed the kitten to her mother, wondering what she would say.

Surprisingly, her mother smiled and said, "You can do whatever you want."

As a father, it fills me with immense joy to witness my daughter's empathy and compassion in caring for animals.

She also wrote a story in her dairy and titled as “My Cute Kitten” kitten is our latest addition to our family.

My childhood hero in cricket is Rahul Dravid, and I am a big fan of him. From his debut match in Test cricket in 1996 to his last match in 2012, I followed his career closely. He became the captain of India in 2003 and led the team in the 2007 World Cup 50-over match in the West Indies. I was very excited and wanted India to win the World Cup under his captaincy, as we went to the final in the 2003 World cup under the captaincy of Ganguly and we lost at Final match against Australia; however, India exited the series in the very first round.

I was so sad that I cried and felt terrible for him. I continued to follow his journey in 50-over matches, T20s, and the IPL. My admiration for him remains strong to this day.

In 2021, Dravid became the head coach of the Indian team, and he led the team in the 2023 World Cup 50-over match. India reached the final against England, and I had the same feelings as I did in the 2007 World Cup. Unfortunately, we lost the match in the final again.

I don't know how to express my love for him, despite the many setbacks he faced in his career.

This year, in the 2024 World Cup, Dravid led the Indian team as head coach. The Indian team played exceptionally well and reached the final, held at the same ground in the Caribbean where my cricket hero captained in 2007. This time, history did not repeat itself. All his dedication and hard work finally paid off, and India won the World Cup. It was an emotional moment for me; my eyes were only on him and his emotions, and I cried with happiness on June 29, 2024.

The Tea Break

As I stepped into the office, feeling refreshed by the floor AC, a colleague invited me for tea on a hot afternoon.

That felt like a Jolt😊, Tea now, ah?

Though not excited, I joined him. It turns out he was thinking of resigning and wanted to share his reasons.
Overwhelmed by a piling “to-do” list and a lack of support were his top two reasons. Despite his manager offering to redistribute tasks, his frustration persisted.
While he continued to rant, I continued to sip my second tea. What could I suggest or offer him? I pondered for a minute.
Then, I shared a hack someone gave me a couple of years ago: skim down your “to-do list” to a “must-do list.”
Focus on the top 5 things that only you must complete. Once those are done, move to the next. In the process, you will identify tasks that can be supported by your team or completely delegated.

He resisted this idea, feeling only he could execute all tasks perfectly. Be it a report, presentation, or data mining. This is a classic trap that many first-time team leads fall into.
As I moved on to my third cup of tea, I started sharing how learning to delegate, proved to be a crucial skill that saved me from burnout. By the time I finished my cold third tea, he agreed to stay and try delegating.

Sometimes, simply listening and sharing your own experiences can be the catalyst for change in someone’s perspective.
