A one-week workshop on “Research Methodology & Data Analysis in Management”, organised under the MERU, PM–USHA Scheme, concluded on 29 November 2025 at the Himachal Pradesh University Business School (HPUBS). The workshop, held from 24–29 November 2025, brought together research scholars, faculty members, and postgraduate students for extensive training in contemporary research techniques and AI-enabled data analysis tools.

The Valedictory Session was graced by Prof. Joginder Singh Dhiman, Dean, Planning and Teachers’ Matters, as the Chief Guest. He appreciated the initiative of HPUBS in strengthening research competence among young scholars and emphasized the need for scientific temper, methodological clarity, and ethical research practices in modern academic work.

The session was presided over by Prof. Pramod Sharma, Director, HPUBS, and Prof. Dinesh Sharma, Dean, Faculty of Commerce & Management and Director, UCBS, who highlighted the importance of data-driven decision-making and encouraged participants to integrate research skills with managerial insight.

The workshop was expertly coordinated by Dr. Vinod Negi and organised under the leadership of Organising Secretary Dr. Puneet Bhushan. Dr. Rajesh Kumar was also present during the valedictory function.

Throughout the week, participants engaged in hands-on sessions on research design, hypothesis testing, AI-based data analysis, qualitative and quantitative methods, and the use of modern software tools. The participants expressed gratitude to HPUBS for providing a stimulating academic environment and enhancing their research capabilities.

The event concluded with certificate distribution and a vote of thanks, marking a successful and enriching academic initiative by HPUBS.

A One-Week Workshop on Research Methodology and Data Analysis was inaugurated today at Himachal Pradesh University Business School (HPUBS), Shimla. The workshop aims to enhance research skills and analytical capabilities among research scholars, faculty members, and professionals from the field of management.

Prof. Pramod Sharma was the Chief Guest for the inaugural session, while Prof. Manjit Singh from Punjabi University, Patiala, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. The event was also attended by distinguished academicians Prof. Dinesh Sharma, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Dr. Vinod Negi and Dr. Santosh Kumari, who extended their best wishes for the successful conduct of the program.

Welcoming the participants, Dr. Puneet Bhushan, Convener of the workshop, highlighted the growing significance of research methodology and data analysis in contemporary academic research and professional decision-making. He emphasized that systematic research design and robust data interpretation are essential tools for producing quality research outcomes and contributing effectively to knowledge creation.

The week-long program will include expert sessions, hands-on training, and practical exposure to modern research tools and statistical techniques. The workshop reflects the commitment of HPUBS to strengthening research culture and promoting academic excellence.

एचपीयूबीएस में तीन दिवसीय प्लेसमेंट बूट कैंप का सफल समापन

हिमाचल प्रदेश विश्वविद्यालय बिजनेस स्कूल (HPUBS) में MERU, PM- USHA योजना के अंतर्गत आयोजित तीन दिवसीय प्लेसमेंट बूट कैंप का आज सफल समापन हुआ। इस विशेष कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य एमबीए छात्रों को कॉर्पोरेट जगत की आवश्यकताओं के अनुरूप तैयार करना और उन्हें प्रोफेशनल स्किल्स, व्यक्तित्व विकास तथा रोजगार योग्यता से जोड़ना था।

तीसरे और अंतिम दिन के पहले सत्र का संचालन डॉ. हिमांशु परमार ने किया। उन्होंने व्यक्तित्व विकास (Personality Development) और ई-मेल एटीकेट (Email Etiquette) पर अत्यंत प्रेरणादायक सत्र लिया। उन्होंने बताया कि आज के प्रतिस्पर्धात्मक युग में केवल डिग्री ही नहीं, बल्कि व्यक्ति का व्यक्तित्व और संप्रेषण कौशल (communication skills) भी करियर निर्माण में निर्णायक भूमिका निभाते हैं। उन्होंने छात्रों को आत्मविश्वास, सकारात्मक सोच, और पेशेवर व्यवहार की महत्ता समझाई तथा व्यावहारिक उदाहरणों के माध्यम से बताया कि कैसे एक साधारण ईमेल भी व्यक्ति की प्रोफेशनल पहचान को प्रभावित कर सकता है।

दूसरे सत्र में डॉ. हिमेश शर्मा, फाउंडर एवं डायरेक्टर, स्किल लैब्स ने छात्रों को रेज़्यूमे बिल्डिंग और लिंक्डइन ऑप्टिमाइज़ेशन की तकनीकों से अवगत कराया। उन्होंने बताया कि आज के डिजिटल युग में एक प्रभावी रेज़्यूमे और आकर्षक लिंक्डइन प्रोफाइल ही उम्मीदवार की पहली छवि बनाते हैं। उन्होंने छात्रों को यह भी सिखाया कि कैसे वे अपने अनुभव, प्रोजेक्ट्स और उपलब्धियों को पेशेवर तरीके से प्रस्तुत कर सकते हैं ताकि वे कॉर्पोरेट रिक्रूटर्स का ध्यान आकर्षित कर सकें।

कार्यक्रम के समापन एवं वैलिडिक्टरी सत्र में कॉमर्स एवं मैनेजमेंट संकाय के डीन प्रो. जे.एस. परमार ने मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में शिरकत की। अपने संबोधन में उन्होंने छात्रों को निरंतर सीखने और आत्मविकास की प्रेरणा दी। उन्होंने कहा कि ऐसे प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम विद्यार्थियों को अकादमिक ज्ञान के साथ-साथ व्यावहारिक दृष्टिकोण प्रदान करते हैं, जिससे वे भविष्य के उद्योग जगत की चुनौतियों के लिए बेहतर रूप से तैयार हो पाते हैं।

इस अवसर पर प्रो. दिनेश शर्मा, डॉ. पुनीत भूषण और डॉ. राजेश कुमार भी उपस्थित रहे।
डायरेक्टर प्रो. प्रमोद शर्मा ने मुख्य अतिथि एवं संसाधन व्यक्तियों का स्वागत किया तथा उनके योगदान के लिए आभार व्यक्त किया।
कार्यक्रम के संयोजक डॉ. विनोद नेगी ने तीनों दिनों के सत्रों का संक्षिप्त विवरण प्रस्तुत किया और सभी प्रतिभागियों का धन्यवाद किया।
