A note from Alumnus of DAV New Shimla !
āThere is no greater suffering than constantly measuring yourself and coming up short, But where do we learn these things? Because, really, they are learned. We donāt come crying out of the womb because of our birth weight or because we have no money in this brand new world. We learn to measure and we learn to attach our self-worth to those measurements.ā
You reap what you sow - This is a best-case scenario and life doesn't always go how we plan it, this means if you sow good a lot of times you dont reap that good because life has its own plans.
I graduated from the school in 2016 and had high expectations from my 12th results. I was sad, shattered, and disturbed because I knew I won't make it to the top-notch colleges of the country. But the bigger problem was that my close friends scored better and I knew they will make it to their dream colleges.
**Deep breath** What happened in the next 4 years was astonishing. My life took a different track and gave me what I wanted, but not how I wanted.
We dont know what our destiny is and that's what life is - uncertain and full of surprises.
Who knows uncertainty better than you all? The batch of 2020!
Batch 2020 will be remembered forever because what we all are going through right now is not normal.
How you're entering your college life is not normal.
A PANDEMIC is not normal.
-Dont beat yourself up if you didn't score what your parents expected.
-Don't compare yourself with your friends, classmates, cousins, and even the closest friends who studied with you the whole time.
-Don't let your dreams die - because this is the first step you took towards them.
- Be proud of yourself because you've earned it with your hard work, dedication, sacrifices, and parent's support.
Stay at home (Kinda difficult but do it),
Stay strong, talk to your friends - motivate them, talk to parents- they understand everything
Stay safe and Party at home
