The Tricolour rising. Young voices in song. The measured step of the march past. A school gathered in remembrance and gratitude.

Auckland House School for Boys marked India’s 80th Independence Day by remembering that freedom is both an inheritance and a responsibility. We honour those who fought for it, those who defended it, and those who strengthened India through courage, knowledge, reform, service and sacrifice.

Heroes are human. What defines them is not presumed infallibility, but the moments in which they rise beyond themselves for something greater.

For every generation inherits not only the freedom won by its heroes, but the question they leave behind: what will we do with it?

May the freedom we inherit deepen our sense of responsibility and strengthen the future we build together.

Freedom. Responsibility. Future. 🇮🇳

🇮🇳 Celebrating India’s 80th Independence Day 🇮🇳

Today, we celebrate not merely a date in history, but the freedom that generations before us fought, sacrificed and worked to secure.

Our Independence Day celebration was an opportunity to remember the freedom fighters who gave everything for a free India, the soldiers who defended its sovereignty, the scientists and nation-builders who strengthened it, and the countless citizens whose everyday work continues to shape our country.

The celebration also reflected on the meaning of heroism. Heroes are not simply people we admire; they are people who inspire us to become better. Courage, honesty, discipline, service, responsibility and perseverance begin with the choices we make every day.

As educators, we have a special responsibility to help our young people understand that the India of tomorrow will be shaped by them. The next great act of courage, discovery, service or reform may come from among them.

May we always remain worthy of the freedom we inherited and work towards building an India worthy of the generations who will inherit it from us.

Academic Exposure to Emerging Global Higher Education Opportunities

Our students recently participated in an informative academic session on International Branch Campuses (IBCs) being established in India in the evolving landscape of NEP 2020 and the UGC 2023 guidelines.

Ms. Swati Sachdeva and Ms. Shipra conducted an insightful presentation highlighting the opportunities offered by leading international universities establishing campuses in India. The session introduced students to emerging pathways for pursuing globally oriented higher education while studying within the country.

Students engaged actively with the speakers, raised thoughtful queries and were encouraged to further explore these academic opportunities through independent research and informed decision-making.

The session was a valuable step towards enhancing students’ awareness of global higher education pathways and supporting them in making informed choices about their future academic pursuits.
