As part of the School Safety Programme, the 14th Battalion of the NDRF, Jassur, Nurpur (Kangra) conducted an informative and hands-on Disaster Awareness Drive at St. Thomas’ School, Shimla.

Students learned essential skills in disaster preparedness, earthquake safety, CPR, fire-extinguisher handling, and emergency response. The NDRF team’s practical demonstrations equipped our students with valuable life-saving skills.

Our students participated with great enthusiasm and curiosity, making the session both meaningful and empowering.

Inter-House English Debate Competition

A spirited Inter-House English Debate Competition was held at school, with students of Classes XI & XII representing all four houses—Kasturi, Shipkila, Toshqui and Chinar.

In the first round Toshqui House and Kasturi House emerged as the finalists.
The final debate—witnessed an impressive exchange of ideas and arguments.

Angel Chauhan - Class X participated in the 6th HP State Grappling Wrestling Championship on August 15 and 16, organised at Indira Gandhi State Sports Complex.

All three of them have been selected for the upcoming Nationals Games in Haldwani, Uttarakhand.

Independence Day Celebration

St. Thomas’ School, Shimla celebrated Independence Day with pride and patriotism. The National Flag was hoisted by Principal Mrs. Sharon Nanda, followed by the National Anthem and a spirited March Past by our NCC cadets and students.

The Principal’s inspiring message honoured the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and reminded everyone of the true spirit of patriotism.

Inter-House Hindi Patriotic Group Singing Competition

St. Thomas’ School, Shimla celebrated Independence Day with an inspiring Inter-House Hindi Patriotic Group Singing Competition, witnessed by students from Classes IV -XII

The students of Toshqui, Shipkila, Kasturi and Chinar Houses showcased their patriotism through melodious performances, demonstrating excellent rhythm, coordination, expression and team spirit.

The performances were judged by Dr Luxmi Associate Professor ,RKMV college Shimla and Dr Madan Jhalta Assistant Professor (Guest Faculty) Department of Music, HPU whose valuable feedback added great significance to the event.

We are delighted to share that 42 students from 12 schools across Shimla participated in a creative competition organised by the Shimla Ice Skating Rink.
The competition was divided into two categories: Junior Category (up to Class VIII): “Seasons of Shimla”
Senior Category (Classes IX–XII): “Transformation of Shimla”
We are proud to announce that Kyra of St. Thomas’ School secured the 3rd Position in the competition.
