On 3rd May 2025, The NEHU Manipuri Students' Union (NEMSU), led by Wahengbamcha Nganthoiba Luwang , marked the completion of 2 years of the Manipur conflict with a solemn observance. A minute of silence was observed, and tributes were paid to the martyrs at the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Shillong campus.

The event saw participation from Meitei professors, students, and members of various other communities, demonstrating solidarity and unity in remembrance of the lives lost.
