Event Name: Signing of MoU between IIEST, Shibpur and Bajaj Auto Foundation, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of Bajaj Auto Limited.

The MoU is regarding the "Rupa Rahul Bajaj Scholarship for Women in Engineering" (RRBSWE), a flagship scholarship programme designed to support meritorious young women pursuing a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in core engineering disciplines.

The IIEST, Shibpur Team was led by Prof. V.M.S.R. Murthy, Hon’ble Director, IIEST, Shibpur.
In the presence of: Prof. Debdulal Das, Dean (Students' Welfare), Prof. Pratik Dutta, Dean (Research & Consultancy), Prof. Arindam Biswas, Dean (Academic), CA. Biswajit Bhattacharyya, Registrar, Prof. Asok Adak, Associate Dean (Hostel Management), Dr. Ankita Pramanik, Associate Dean (Students' Welfare), and the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for RRBSWE, Sri Lakhi Kanto Gorai, Deputy Registrar (Finance), and other Institute Officials.

Ms. Greeshma Biswal (Head of Grant management team) and Mr. Nitesh Raikar (Head of content development BEST) were present on behalf of Bajaj Auto Foundation. Discussions on avenues for future collaboration with the Institute were also held.

Bajaj felicitated the Institute (received by Prof. V.M.S.R. Murthy, Hon’ble Director), Dr. Ankita Pramanik, the SPOC, Prof. Arindam Biswas, Dean (Academic) and Ms. Kausani Pyne, the Scholar Ambassador.

Prof. V.M.S.R. Murthy also felicitated the Bajaj representatives. A talk session was organised at the Alumni Seminar Hall. Prof. V.M.S.R. Murthy, Prof. Debdulal Das, and Prof. Arindam Biswas addressed the gathering. Bajaj Representatives gave a talk on the Scholarship program to the first-year female students and to the 33 existing RRBSWE scholars.
