India has finally recognized its maritime nation status seventy years post independence. Big investments are being made both by the government and corporate entities in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR).
The Underwater Domain Awareness (UDA) is a concept that enables us to record every development in the undersea domain (two third of the earth is under the sea and the IOR is one the largest ocean area) and probably prepare us to counter an event before it happens rather than record the event unfolding. These events could be a security breach, natural disaster, environmental degradation, etc.
UDA in IOR is an unimaginable opportunity and we need to prepare ourselves. Global attention is on the IOR and we in India need to be prepared to grab the career options it is likely to generate.
So lets understand UDA in IOR...
