With the aim of connecting students with modern education and employable skills, an informative seminar on the subject of skill education was organized at Satluj Senior Secondary School, in which students from class 9th to 12th participated enthusiastically. In the seminar, Dr. S.S. Ahuja, Director of Ahuja NextGen, gave detailed information to the students about the importance of skill education under the National Education Policy (NEP) and the changing education scenario. He told that in the present times, only bookish knowledge is not enough, but for the all-round development of students, development of skills like practical knowledge, technical proficiency, creative thinking and problem solving is also necessary.
Dr. S.S. Ahuja informed students about the importance of digital education and explained that technology can make education more effective, interesting, and accessible. He also discussed the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI), its applications in various fields, and the possibilities available to students in the future. He also raised awareness about cybersecurity and digital safety, explaining important measures for safe internet use, online privacy, and protection against cybercrime.
On this occasion, the school's Principal, Dr. R.S. Ghuman, stated that in today's competitive world, it is crucial for students to have knowledge of new technologies and essential skills in addition to traditional education. He stated that the National Education Policy provides students with opportunities to advance according to their interests and abilities. He encouraged students to continuously develop their knowledge and skills by making good use of technology. The Principal stated that such informative seminars play an important role in preparing students for future challenges.
At the end of the seminar, the school's Vice Principal, Mr. Satbir Singh, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Dr. S.S. Ahuja for attending the school and sharing important and useful information with the students. He stated that the information provided at the seminar will certainly help enhance students' knowledge and prepare them for a technical and skill-based future.
