Hopetown Girls' School Hopetown Girls' School is affiliated to the CISCE Board and Cambridge Board. Hopetown is a fully residential school for girls.

It is situated in the Doon Valley, adjacent to the Selakui forests. It is a fully residential, CISCE ( Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations) school for girls from the age of 10 - 18.

Growing a Greener, Healthier Future 🌱💙

On 15 August 2026, our Hopetavians came together for two meaningful initiatives centred on environmental responsibility and healthy living.

Students from Grades 6–9 participated in a hands-on Plantation Drive, planting saplings along the school boundary and learning about soil preparation, nurturing, watering, and the long-term care required to help trees grow. The activity encouraged students to see environmental conservation not just as an idea, but as a shared responsibility.

At the same time, students from Grades 10–12, accompanied by teachers, participated in a Drug Awareness Drive, walking from the school campus to ICFAI University and back with handmade posters and awareness slogans. Through their efforts, they spread the message of saying no to drugs and yes to a healthy, happy, and responsible life.

Together, these initiatives reflected an important part of education at Hopetown—learning to care for the environment, make healthy choices, and contribute positively to the community. 🌱✨

CISCE Football Regional Competition

Hopetown Girls’ School, Dehradun, proudly hosted the CISCE Football Regional Competition on 11th August 2026.

The competition witnessed participation from Zone B and Zone D. The match was played with great enthusiasm, determination, teamwork and sportsmanship. Zone B secured a convincing 4–0 victory over Zone D, showcasing excellent coordination and skill on the field.

A moment of great pride for Hopetown Girls’ School was the selection of five of our students for the CISCE National Football Championship. Their outstanding performance, dedication, discipline, and teamwork earned them a well-deserved place at the National level.

When imagination takes shape, even a little clay can become something magical! 🎨✨

The Inter-House Mud Magic Competition brought together young artists from all four Houses for a celebration of creativity, imagination, and craftsmanship.

From musical instrument-inspired clay artefacts by Grades 6 & 7 to reptile sculptures by Grades 8 & 9, students transformed simple clay into wonderfully imaginative creations.

Young voices, meaningful debates, and a shared commitment to our planet. 🌍✨

On 8 August 2026, two of our students, Hoonar Jindal and Amishi Khosla, represented Hopetown Girls’ School at COS-5: The Climate Conference at Kāsiga School, Dehradun.

Participating in a Model UN-style conference on “Global Climate Action: From Commitments to Change,” the students engaged in discussions on climate policy, emissions, climate finance, and meaningful action. Through research, debate, negotiation, and collaboration, they explored the complexities of addressing one of the world’s most pressing challenges.

Their preparation and confident participation were recognised at the closing ceremony, where Hoonar Jindal received a Special Mention for her arguments, diplomacy, and command of the agenda.

A proud moment for our young delegates, whose experience reflects the power of curiosity, informed dialogue, and student-led action in shaping a more sustainable future. 🌱

Learning takes on a whole new meaning when students get to explore, create, and lead. ✨

This week’s Growth is Good (G2) activities gave our middle school students the opportunity to learn beyond the traditional classroom through a variety of engaging, student-led experiences.

In Learning Beyond the Classroom, students explored current affairs through The News Room, developed entrepreneurial ideas through Young Entrepreneurs, and strengthened teamwork and non-verbal communication through Fun Fusion mime activities. 📰💡🎭

The second set of activities, Discovering New Skills, encouraged students to explore their creative side through Mandala Art, Western Dance, and Drama. From mindful artistic expression and rhythm to voice modulation, stage presence, and performance, each activity helped students discover new interests while building confidence.

Through G2, students are learning to think independently, collaborate meaningfully, express themselves confidently, and step beyond their comfort zones—one experience at a time. 💙
