Sri Kottala Basaveshwara Bharateeya Shikshana Samiti, Sedam Educational Institution started in 1974 located at Sedam, Karnataka

Sri Kottala Basavshwara Bharateeya Shikshana Samiti (KBBSS) began its journey in the year 1974 from Sedam in Kalburgi district. In 40 years of its existence, the samiti has started and supported many educational institutions including primary and High Schools, Junior and Degree colleges, law college, D.Ed, etc. At present more than 10000 students availing education with the number of teaching and

non teaching staff exceeds more than 500. The philosophy of the Samiti is that an educational institution should be a center for social transformation.

ಶ್ರೀ ಕೊತ್ತಲ ಬಸವೇಶ್ವರ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಮಿತಿಯು ಕಲಬುರ್ಗಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಸೇಡಂ ನಲ್ಲಿ 1974ರ ವಸಂತ ಪಂಚಮಿಯಂದು ಪರಮ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಡಿವಾಳಯ್ಯ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ ಅವರ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಶಾಲೆ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಮೂಲ ಆಶಯ. ಶ್ರೀ ಬಸವರಾಜ ಪಾಟೀಲ ಸೇಡಂ ಅವರ ದೂರದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಪಾರ ಸಮಾಜೋ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನದಿಂದ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. 1999 ರಲ್ಲಿ ರಜತ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವ, 2006 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೈದ್ರಾಬಾದ್ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಜಾತ್ರೆ ಹಾಗೂ 2010 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಬುರ್ಗಿ ಕಂಪು ದಂತಹ ಬೃಹತ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದೆ. 35ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪ್ರಕಲ್ಪಗಳು ಇಂದು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಶೀಲವಾಗಿದ್ದು 2024ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸುವರ್ಣ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ.
