The congregation of Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales has 180 years of history of being in the field of education and has its presence in 35 countries imparting Quality Education. We the Fransalians after our Founder, Fr. Peter Marie Mermier (1790-1862), a French saintly priest, believe that Education is incomplete without Character Formation. Mermier expected three things from the pupils, namely, Knowledge, Wisdom and Discipline. For him “True Education is opening the heart rather than mind”. So we believe in the motto: “Education of the Heart is the Heart of Education. The patron of the MSFS Congregation as well as the SFS Schools is St. Francis de Sales (1567-1622), who is called a “Gentleman Saint” and the “Patron of Journalists”. As a Missionary School, we work not only for the intellectual, cultural and physical development of our children from the earliest stages but also for the formation of character. We inculcate in them sound moral principles, so that they grow up as good children of God and responsible citizens of our country. The education at SFS aims at the all-round formation of individuals (physically fit, morally upright, spiritually oriented, emotionally balanced, intellectually informed, culturally integrated, socially aware and responsible future citizens of their motherland) who would act as agents of social change in a great and multi religious nation to live in harmony with their fellow citizens and to build up a welfare nation of God fearing and God loving people.
