Raphael’s School for the Mentally Re****ed, Sawyerpuram is functioning well based on the verse of St.Paul in Roman’s 15:1 “we then who are strong caught to bear with the Scruples of the weak and not to please ourselves”. The School was started in 11.06.1991 by the efforts of the Bishop Rt.Rev.Jason S.Dharmaraj and the presbyters and has been functioning in a good manner for the past 18 years. The

children are provided with food, clothing’s, shelter and medical facilities at free of cost and also training in Psycho-motor abilities. We have two Special Educators one physiotherapist and three helpers to assist and train the children. Our children participated in sports events conducted in the district level and had won the first prizes. They also conduct Special Programmes in the churches of our diocese. It is now and the supported by helping hands of the people who are in and around Sawyerpuram.
