Sri SRNM College Co-Educational Autonomous Institution. Sri S.Ramasamy Naidu, Known familiarly as "S.R" was a dedicated educationist and freedom fighter.

His realisation that political freedom will be of no value unless there is freedom from illiteracy led him to work tirelessly for the great cause. Thanks to his keen interest and initiative, the area is today blessed with a number of educational institution. The grateful people of the region founded a College to perpetuate his memory by realizing his visionary ambitions. This College was established at Nagalapuram in 1970 with Thiru V.Venugopala Krishnasamy Naidu as its founder President with the mission of ameliorating the living condition of the rural poor through education and employment.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing | Industry–Academia Collaboration

A significant step towards strengthening industry–academia collaboration at Sri S. Ramasamy Naidu Memorial College, Sattur.

An MoU was signed on 16 September 2026 with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Young India (Yi), Sivakasi Branch; Elysium Groups, Madurai and SFR College, Sivakasi.

The collaboration aims to provide students with opportunities for internships, industry exposure, skill development, and professional engagement.

The Department of English – SF organised a guest lecture on “The Silence Behind the Masterpiece: Reading Andrea del Sarto” on 11 September 2026.

The session by Dr. R. Sumathi, Head and Associate Professor (Rtd.), Department of English, offered students a deeper understanding of Robert Browning’s Andrea del Sarto and its artistic and thematic aspects.

The lecture was an engaging and informative session that helped students gain a better understanding of the poem.

🏭 Industrial Visit | Experiential Learning

The Department of Chemistry, Sri S. Ramasamy Naidu Memorial College, Sattur, organized an industrial visit to Sri Raamji Poly Packs and Paper Bags, Sivakasi, on 9 September 2026.

The visit provided III UG and PG students with valuable exposure to industrial manufacturing processes, polymer processing, and packaging technology.

Such visits enable students to connect classroom concepts with real-world industrial practices, enhancing their practical understanding and professional awareness.
