🧩 Are your students just "Learning" words or are they "Living" them?
In my 2012-2014 classroom with Grade 2 students, I realized one thing: Traditional rote learning is boring. To make English stick, I turned my classroom into a "Word Hub."

My 3-Step Strategy for Active Learning:
1️⃣ The Board Mapping: Every word on my board had a 'family'—its Synonyms and Antonyms. It wasn't just a word; it was a connection!
2️⃣ The Card Challenge: I provided small cards to students for solving Crossword Puzzles. Physical touch and solving puzzles make the brain work 2x faster!
3️⃣ The 'One Student, One Word' Game: A spelling relay where the whole class cheered. One student gives the word, the next spells it. If you fail? No problem, the next peer helps!
The Result? Students didn't just remember spellings; they understood the context.

Headline: 🧠 Boosting Vocabulary: How I Kept My Grade 2 Students Active & Engaged!

Hello fellow educators! 👋
Sharing a "tried and tested" method from my days as a Class II teacher (2012-2014) that worked wonders for Vocabulary Binding.

1. The Board & Recall Method:
Every day, I would write a set of English words on the board along with their:
✅ Synonyms (Same meaning)
❌ Antonyms (Opposite meaning)
🔗 Related/Closed meaning words
The Ritual: At the end of every period, we didn't just pack bags—we recited these words together. This constant "Reference-to-Past" helped students anchor new words to what they already knew.

2. The Interactive Puzzle:
I provided students with physical cards. After our board session, I’d create Crossword Puzzles based on those words. Watching 7-year-olds solve these on their own cards was pure joy!

3. "One Student, One Word" Game (Our Favorite!):
To build collective vocabulary, we played a sequential game:
Step A: A student suggests a word we studied previously.
Step B: The next student must provide the correct spelling.
The Twist: If a student misses the spelling, the turn moves to the next person.
The Result? Students were enthusiastic, eager to participate, and most importantly—the vocabulary actually stuck!

केंद्र शासनाच्या NCRT मान्यता प्राप्त Olympiad कोर्स आता CSC पोर्टलवर.
काय आहे Olympiad कोर्स..??
Olympiad ही एक स्पर्धा परीक्षा शाळा स्तरावर घेण्यात येते. ही स्पर्धा परीक्षा पूर्णपणे शालेय शिक्षणावर आधारीत असते. विविध स्वतंत्र संस्था याचे आयोजन करतात पण आजची ग्रामीण भागातील परिस्थिती बघता IT मंत्रालया मार्फत CSC (Common Service Center) द्वारा नाममात्र शुल्क भरुन हा आपल्या CSC पोर्टल वर उपलब्ध करण्यात आला आहे.
विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी Olympiad परीक्षेचे फायदे..??
👉 विद्यार्थ्यांची समस्या सोडवण्याची क्षमता वाढते.
👉 विद्यार्थ्यांच्या सृजन शिलतेचे आकलन होते.
👉 विद्यार्थ्यांना नाविन्य पूर्ण विचार करण्याची प्रेरणा मिळते.
👉 विद्यार्थ्यांच्या सुप्त गुणांना वाव मिळतो.
👉 विद्यार्थ्यांची योग्यता तसेच एखाद्या विशिष्ठ विषयाच्या ज्ञानाची चाचणी घेऊन त्यांना भविष्यातील स्पर्धा परिक्षेसाठी तयार करण्यात येते.
👉 पालकांना विद्यार्थ्यांचा कल लक्षात येतो.
👉 शाळा स्तरापासून विद्यार्थ्यांना स्पर्धा परीक्षांची गोडी लागते.
वर्ग मर्यादा - 3 री ते 12 वी पर्यंत..
आतापर्यंत हा कोर्स फक्त शहरी भागांपुरते मर्यादित होते पण आता आपल्या CSC केंद्रा च्या मार्फत हा कोर्स ग्रामीण भागातील विद्यार्थ्यांना मिळणार आहे. तरी सर्वांनी या कोर्स चा प्रसार करुन ज्यास्तीत ज्यास्त पालकांपर्यंत व विद्यार्थ्यांपर्यंत माहिती द्यावी.
कोर्स फी - Rs.150
(Online Olympiad ची फी रु.2500 इतकी घेतली जाते, CSC वरुन फक्त रु.150)
