“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
A Day of Selfless Service was organized on 17th December 2025 by the Mona School Junior Youths of Grade 5th to 9th for the 🙏'SAHAS Residential School' -Siddharth Social Development Institute, for Orphaned Children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
The event began with a heartfelt prayer and inspiring speeches by students, followed by an encouraging address by the founder of the institute Dr. Sanjay Kamble. Adding joy to the occasion, the students also performed lively and heartfelt dances, spreading happiness and enthusiasm among the children.
As a gesture of care and support, Mona School donated a wide range of educational, creative, musical, and sports materials which was the need of the Sahas children. It included
Skipping Ropes, Badminton Sets, Shot Put Ball, Lagori Wooden Set, Small Hand Drums, Taal, Lezim Instruments, a Tabla Set, and a Casio Keyboard, Mathematics Workbooks (Std. 1), Copywriting Books (Alphabet, Basic Letters, and Numbers), Drawing Books, Crayons, Sketch Pens, Water Colours, Fluorescent Craft Papers, Fabric Glue, Fevicol, Slate Pencil Boxes, Colour Chalk for the blackboard, a Large Wooden Geometry Compass etc to enhance the children’s learning, creativity, and recreation.
Beyond material contributions, the most precious gift exchanged was love, laughter, and companionship. The students spent quality time interacting with the children, sharing smiles and joyful moments.
Through these interactions, they learned valuable lessons of kindness, gratitude, patience, and resilience. Witnessing the happiness and excitement of the children left a deep sense of warmth and fulfillment in everyone’s hearts.
With deep gratitude, we thank all our dear Parents with all our hearts for standing by us and helping us turn this act of service into a meaningful and memorable experience.
This initiative successfully nurtured empathy, generosity, and a spirit of service among the students, leaving a lasting impression and reinforcing the belief that true happiness lies in giving and sharing with an open heart.
