~ Born: September 28, 1907, in Banga, Punjab, British India.

~ Early Life: Bhagat Singh came from a Sikh family with a history of political activism. He was deeply influenced by the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and the sacrifices made by his family members for the cause of freedom.

~ Role in the Freedom Movement: Bhagat Singh became involved in the freedom struggle at a young age. He joined the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA), a revolutionary organization that aimed to overthrow British rule through armed resistance.

~ Acts of Protest: Bhagat Singh is best known for his acts of protest against British rule. He and his associates plotted and executed several acts of defiance, including the bombing of the Central Legislative Assembly in Delhi in 1929 to protest repressive laws.

~ Arrest and Trial: Bhagat Singh was arrested in connection with the Assembly bombing and was put on trial. During the trial, he and his comrades used the court as a platform to voice their revolutionary ideas and beliefs.

~ Hunger Strike: While in jail, Bhagat Singh and his fellow prisoners went on a hunger strike to protest against the inhumane treatment of political prisoners. Their protest garnered widespread public support.
