With pen and tractor...this is how we aim to revolutionize the education landscape in rural India. Abhyudaya [ Rising Sun] Global Village School is an agro centric school that aims to create entrepreneurs who are globally competitive while being connected to their roots. In the country that has its identity intricately linked with agriculture, the occupation has lost its respectability and the fa

rmer his dignity. We believe that the solution to India's socio-economic problem lies in educating future agriculturists and equipping them with globally competitive knowledge and skills. Thus, the school combines CBSE curriculum with practical, latest and diverse knowledge of the green fields. You will find our kids doing math and enjoying in the green houses. They don't just learn about environment they work to sustain it. We are creating persons with individual identities, capabilities and life skills who will grow up to contribute as upright citizens and innovative job creators in the development journey of India.

At AGVS, this year’s 100% SSC result is meaningful not because every child passed — but because every child stayed in the journey despite their circumstances.

Some learned through gaps.
Some through struggle.
Some through silence.
And some, like Vansh Chimurkar, through self-designed paths beyond classrooms.

When mathematics becomes delicious 🍯

Sunday morning. Students under a tree. Working on ratio and proportion worksheets.

Voluntarily. Joyfully.

Here’s why 👇

Two days ago, they made their first perfect batch:
2 kg sesame-jaggery mixture = 68 laddoos

Then came the entrepreneurial question:
“We’re expecting 400 visitors at Anand Jatra. How many laddoos do we need?”

Watch them in action—roasting sesame at the right temperature, grinding jaggery, shaping each laddoo with care. Beautiful hands-on work.

But then... the scaling challenge emerged.

Suddenly, ratios weren’t textbook theory.
They were business necessity.
Students demanded to understand WHY cross-multiplication works, not just HOW.
Their words: “Calculator and ChatGPT help, but only if we understand the logic.”

This is what we call Organic Education 🌱

Learning that grows from authentic need, not artificial curriculum sequences.

FIRST: Real work
THEN: Real problem
ONLY THEN: Mathematical concept becomes necessary

Colors of Joy 🎨

What happens when 27 teachers drop the lesson plans and pick up paintbrushes?
Magic.

Two prompts. Six canvases. Zero judgment. Pure childhood returning.

Mistakes became masterpieces. Laughter echoed. Batteries recharged.

This is how we sustain deep education - by remembering to play.

When Acharyas are full, students overflow. 💛

Not all heroes wear capes. Some bring watermelon.

This is Jaya Tai.
She serves food to our residential kids every day—with love and care.

Yesterday, on a hot summer afternoon, while I was deep in work, she walked in with this plate of deseeded watermelon.

The smile she had just before this photo—when she offered it—was the sweetest part of it all.

People like her keep the spirit of a place alive.
Quiet. Steady. Full of heart.

A Warm Bureaucrat!

When she entered, I knew only her designation: Director, Vasantrao Naik State Agriculture Extension Management Institute (VANAMATI), Maharashtra.

I didn’t know she was a doctor turned IAS officer, someone who is learning Hindustani Classical Music, who is a mother of not more than 21-month-old twins, who is learning basic calculus from a young boy who is teaching an IAS officer voluntarily, and that learning calculus is part of her course in Economics which she is simultaneously learning.

I am totally inspired by this young woman who, when asked how she manages all of this, replied in a calm voice, “Being a mother teaches you a lot. I became more patient even at my workplace after becoming a mother. You start knowing yourself better after you become a mother.” I completely echoed her thoughts and I truly learned the poise of her being.

Salute to this voracious reader and a life-long learner! 💫

Inspired by you Dr Mittali Sethi. Thank you Sachin Mandavgane, Ph.D for connecting her to Abhyudaya Global Village School and getting her on the campus.

We (I and Sachin Deshpande) are glad that she too loved being at the campus of our school.

Blessed to witness an innocence of a very different flavour!

As we grow we complicate things and stop seeing them the way they are. Life is not as complicated and doesn't always have to be played Strategically. It has to be played beautifully and aesthetically. 🍁

These pure souls remind us of what we originally are. With them around, it is sheer bliss. It is a myth that we teach the children. They teach us. In this video, the child was asked, "What happens when we water the tree?" His spontaneous response was, "Tree." Period. The frame from which the teacher asked the question was broken, shaken and completely lost. The answer of the child stole the show.

Lessons Learnt:
1. Be in the present.
2. See the way things are.
3. Don't unnecessarily complicate. 😎

🌱 AGVS Update: We believe in creating spaces where students feel heard and understood. Recently, our class teacher shared her lunch break with students, creating a warm and open environment for them to share their thoughts and ideas. It's truly special to witness their eagerness and genuine expressions. Moments like these remind us why we're here – to provide quality education in an agriculture-centric setting.

At AGVS, we strive to nurture fearless and non-judgmental spaces, where young minds can explore and grow. Together, we are fostering a community that encourages life based education among rural children. 🚜✨

If our mission resonates with you, and you're keen to support or volunteer with us, please reach out. Your contribution can make a difference in empowering these amazing young minds. 🤝💚
