Santiniketan Sishutirtha School Santiniketan Sishutirtha School follows CBSE curriculum. It will be a higher secondary school. As of today we have UKG to Grade 5.

Santiniketan Sishutirtha is a coeducation school following the CBSE curriculum. We will be a school from UKG to Grade 12, by adding a class every year. Our pedagogy is based on two aspects – the educational ideas of Rabindranath Tagore, the founder of Santiniketan & Visva Bharati and the modern pedagogy, known by different terms, “skill based inquiry based“, “experiential learning” and such. Accor

ding to Rabindranath Tagore, Nature is the best teacher, thus the campus is in lush green surroundings where children will also have outdoor classes when the weather is conducive. His deep sense of belief in Humanity urged him to conceptualize a school where the entire community of students and teachers are connected with that single urge of ‘learning’. “Educational institutions must not be a dead cage in which living minds are fed with food artificially prepared. It should be an open house, in which students and teachers are at one.” This is the moto built into the day to day workings of the school. In a modern day “skill based inquiry based curriculum” the learning is driven by the students through their experience and urge of inquiry. This is a process in which the teachers are collaborators in the learning environment rather than adults doling out information to hapless children. At Santiniketan Sishutirtha School, this is what is practiced in letter and spirit. The teachers are trained in the nuances of Rabindranath’s ideas and the modern pedagogy.

Sishutirtha children are privileged. They sat close to Pt. Tejendra Narayan Majumdar and learnt about the intricacies of Indian Classical music.

We are grateful to S**c Macay for facilitating such an experience for our children.

When they grow up, these children will look back and surely dote about this event.

A "National Level Quiz" just for Santiniketan Sishutirtha School children! We are grateful to "Zerodha Varsity Quiz" (from Bangalore) and all the members for making this possible at the Ruppur Campus.

What we liked is -- it was not the standard cutthroat competition format, which is quite common.

There were prizes for the winners, but all students participated all through. They showed their competence, learnt a lot and had fun.

Special thanks to Archana for conducting the quiz extremely well.

We hope they are back again.

Annual Picnic 2026.

Winter cannot leave without a picnic. Thus we all marched to our annual ritual.

A quiet, shallow river, jhalmuri, games, fun, our picnic can boast of all of this.

Today children rarely walk. At Sishutirtha we don't forget this pleasure of a picnic. So, the children walk through a village and an open field on the way to the venue.

A school needs to be beautiful. You cannot teach aesthetics on the board. Children imbibe it through the space they stay in.

Thus, we try our best to create a campus that is a learning space of aesthetics.
