On 31st January 2025, the Annual Gathering – Equinox 25 was celebrated with great enthusiasm and vibrant participation, creating a festive and memorable atmosphere on campus.

The programme was presided over by the Chairman, Dr Jayprakash N Karajagi; Secretary, Dr Santosh Kumar Khajjanavar; and Principal, Dr Manjunath S Gavimath, Chief Guest, Principal and Medical Director, KAHER’s Shri B. M. Kankanawadi Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Belagavi – Dr Suhas Kumar Shetty. Director, Major Shankar Karajagi; Director, Dr Nidhi Verma; Director, Dr Shreya Karajagi; Academic Committee Chairman, Dr Monika Patil; and Student Union Chairman, Dr Vikas Autade, general secretary Mr. Rushikesh Munde along with all teachers and students.

During the programme, the Principal presented a brief overview of the academic, cultural, literary, sports, and co-curricular activities conducted during the year 2025. This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony, wherein students were honoured for their outstanding achievements.

The Academic Excellence Award was conferred upon Dr Chandu in recognition of his outstanding academic contributions. A formal felicitation was conducted to honour the Principal, Dr Manjunath S Gavimath, Academic Committee Chairman, Dr Monika Patil, and Dr Vinayak Galatage for their dedicated efforts in the successful implementation of the Charaka for Children initiative.

On the occasion, the International Journal of Ayurveda Pediatrics (IJAP) by Dr. Vinayak Galatage was formally inaugurated by the dignitaries, marking an important academic milestone for the institution.

Subsequently, speeches were delivered by the dignitaries, who appreciated the efforts of students and faculty, encouraged holistic development, and motivated students to strive for excellence in academics as well as extracurricular activities.

The Student of the Year Award was conferred upon Mr Onkar Asode, while the General Championship Trophy was awarded to the Mrutyunjay Batch for their overall excellence and active participation.

The evening session was filled with joy and entertainment, featuring energetic dance performances, melodious songs, and instrumental music presented by students. Teachers also enthusiastically participated by singing and dancing, making the celebration lively and memorable.

The success of Equinox 25 was the result of the dedicated efforts, meticulous planning, and teamwork of all organising committees. Their tireless coordination, commitment, and collective hard work ensured the smooth conduct of the programme and contributed significantly to making the event a grand success.

Our esteemed faculty member, Dr. Chetan Honawade, Associate Professor, Department of Roga Nidan evam Vikruti Vigyana, was invited as a Guest at “भारतीय संस्कृति उत्सव एवं भव्य गुरुवंदना कार्यक्रम”, held from 7 February 2026 to 9 February 2026.
On this occasion, he delivered an insightful health talk on the impact of organic and inorganic food on health. He elaborated on how organic foods enhance immunity, promote overall well-being, and help to prevent chronic diseases, whereas inorganic and chemically treated foods may contribute to various health disorders.

On 4th February, a National Seminar on “Infertility – Garbha Sootram” was organised by Late Kedari Redekar Ayurvedic Mahavidyalaya, Post Graduate Training and Research Centre, Gadhinglaj. Dr. Nikita M., Assistant Professor, Department of Prasooti Ta**ra, along with students of the 3rd Professional Year, attended the seminar, gaining valuable academic exposure and enriching their understanding of infertility management from an Ayurvedic perspective.

Dr. Chandu Metri, Professor, Department of Panchakarma, was invited as the Co-Chairperson for the seminar and was formally felicitated.

On 4th February, our esteemed Principal, Dr. Manjunath S. Gavimath, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour at Garbha Sootram, a National Seminar on “Infertility - Garbha sootram, organised by Late Kedari Redekar Ayurvedic Mahavidyalaya, Post Graduate training and research centre Gadhinglaj. The seminar provided an important academic platform for deliberations on infertility from an Ayurvedic perspective.

Krishna Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital organised a grand graduation ceremony for its outgoing Sankalp Batch, marking an important milestone in the academic journey of its students. The event was conducted with dignity, tradition, and a strong emphasis on ethical medical practice.
The ceremony was presided over by the Chairman, Dr Jayaprakash N Karajagi, secretary Dr Santhosh Kumar Khajjanavar, Principal, Dr Manjunath S Gavimath. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr Pradeep Kumar Prajapati, Director and Professor, All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi, while the Guest of Honour was Dr Srinivas Bannigol, Chief Administrative Officer, Sanjeevani Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Hubballi. The management and administration were represented by Directors Shri Shankar Hegde, Shri Siddhaveer Khajjanavar, Dr Nidhi Verma, and Dr Shreya Karajagi, reflecting the institution’s strong leadership and academic vision.
In his address, Dr Pradeep Kumar Prajapati highlighted the growing global relevance of Ayurveda and emphasized the responsibility of young graduates to uphold ethical values, pursue continuous learning, and serve society with dedication. Dr Srinivas Bannigol encouraged the graduates to practice medicine with integrity, compassion, and professionalism.
The ceremony commenced with a grand traditional welcome accompanied by vibrant dhol performances, creating a festive atmosphere. This was followed by the formal welcoming of dignitaries and graduating students. A solemn highlight of the event was the administration of the Charaka Oath, reaffirming the graduates’ commitment to ethical and compassionate medical practice. The programme concluded with the handing over of certificates to the students, signifying the successful completion of their academic training.
The graduation ceremony stood as a proud testimony to Krishna Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital’s role in shaping competent and socially responsible Ayurvedic physicians.

On 26th January, our institute celebrated the Republic Day of India with great pride, patriotism, and reverence for the nation. The programme was graciously presided over by Dr. Jayaprakash N. Karajagi, our Chairman, along with Major Shankar Karajagi, Dr. Monika Patil, Academic Committee Chairman, Dr. Vikas Autade, Student Union Chairman, and Dr. Rohini Kawale, Cultural Committee Chairman, all the teachers and students.
The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by inspiring addresses by Dr. Jayaprakash N. Karajagi Sir, Major Shankar Karajagi, and students, highlighting the values of the Constitution, unity, discipline, and service to the nation.
On this solemn occasion, the death anniversary of Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna was also observed, paying heartfelt tribute to his courage, sacrifice, and invaluable contribution to India’s freedom struggle.
The event served as a meaningful reminder of our constitutional responsibilities and the rich legacy of patriotism that continues to inspire generations.

On 25th January, our college celebrated the auspicious occasion of Ratha Saptami with the collective practice of Maha Suryanamaskara. Ratha Saptami, dedicated to Lord Surya, symbolizes the Sun’s northward journey and represents health, vitality, and new beginnings.
The program was organized by the Department of Swasthavritta Evam Yoga under the guidance of Dr. Vijayanand Kallur, Head of the Department of Swasthavritta Evam Yoga. The event witnessed active and enthusiastic participation from students, who performed the Suryanamaskaras with discipline and devotion, reflecting the essence of yoga and preventive healthcare.
The celebration beautifully reinforced the Ayurvedic principle of harmonizing daily life with solar rhythms for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

The students of the Daksh Batch undertook an educational trip to Jamboti Hills as part of their academic enrichment and practical exposure in Dravyaguna. The visit was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Manjunath Dundi, Associate Professor, Department of Dravyaguna, and Dr. Sreelakshmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Dravyaguna.
This field visit provided the students with valuable hands-on experience in the identification and understanding of medicinal plants in their natural habitat, thereby strengthening the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical learning.
