Dr. Amanpreet Singh, Asst Prof, Dept of Agriculture, Akal Degree College, Mastuana Sahib, was invited as an external evaluator by Sanskaram University, Jhajjar, Haryana.
He evaluated the M.Sc. research thesis titled: Performance of Kinnow (Citrus nobilis x Citrus deliciosa) across Different Geographical Regions.
During the evaluation, Dr. Singh provided expert academic guidance and constructive feedback to the research scholar.

ਅਕਾਲ ਡਿਗਰੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਮਸਤੂਆਣਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਨਫਰਮੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਤੌਰ ਅਸਿਸਟੈਂਟ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਨਿਭਾਅ ਰਹੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਜੋਤੀ ਕੌਸ਼ਲ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਮਿਤੀ 31.07.2026 ਨੂੰ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਅਕਾਲ ਚਲਾਣਾ ਕਰ ਜਾਣ ’ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ, ਸਮੂਹ ਟੀਚਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਨ-ਟੀਚਿੰਗ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ, ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ੋਕ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਜੋਤੀ ਕੌਸ਼ਲ ਮਿਹਨਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਝਵਾਨ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਚਰਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਆਦਰਸ਼ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਸਨ। ਆਪਣੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗੀ ਟੀਮ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਵਹਾਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁਹਿਰਦ, ਮਿਲਾਪੜਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗਪੂਰਨ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਹਰ ਕੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਖਿੜੇ-ਮੱਥੇ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਨਦੇਹੀ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਸਨ।
ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਜੋਤੀ ਕੌਸ਼ਲ ਦੇ ਤੁਰ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਦਰਦ ਅਕਹਿ ਹੈ। ਮੌਤ ਅਟੱਲ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਅਣਸੁਖਾਵੀਂ ਘਟਨਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਆ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਕੁਦਰਤ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਸਿਰਜਨਾ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਅਟੱਲ ਹੈ.. ਅਜਿਹਾ ਤਵਾਰੀਖੀ ਸੱਚ.. ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਸਕਣਾ, ਅੱਗੇ ਪਾਉਣਾ ਮੁਮਕਿਨ ਨਹੀਂ, ਇਸ ਰਹੱਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਰਦਾ ਉਠਾਉਣਾ ਸੰਭਵ ਨਹੀਂ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ ਹਰ ਬਾਸ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਤੋਂ ਭੈਅ-ਭੀਤ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਰਹੇਗਾ ਵੀ……...
ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਜੋਤੀ ਕੌਸ਼ਲ, ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਇਹੋ-ਜਿਹੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਰਗੇ ਲੋਕ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ, ਭਰ-ਜੋਬਨ ਮੌਤ ਨੂੰ ਗਲੇ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ....ਤੁਸੀ ਵੀ ਬੇਵਕਤੇ ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ਦੇ ਗਏ ਹੋ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੁਰ ਜਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਘਾਟਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉੱਥੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪ ਦੇ ਜਾਣ ਨਾਲ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਘਾਟਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਹਲੀਮੀ, ਸੁਲਝੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਅਤੇ ਅਣਥੱਕ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਦੇ ਸਦਾ ਰਿਣੀ ਰਹਾਂਗੇ!!!

📿 PATH SHRI SUKHMANI SAHIB 📿
Akal Degree College, Mastuana Sahib organized Path Shri Sukhmani Sahib on 8th August 2026 for the commencement of the new academic session 2026-2027
The programme began with the recitation of Path Shri Sukhmani Sahib by students and staff, followed by Shabad Kirtan presented by the students themselves. Ardas was performed for the peace, prosperity and success of all students, faculty and staff in the new session.
Principal Dr. Amandeep Kaur welcomed all the freshers to the AKAL family. In her address, she urged students to work hard with dedication and to stay spiritually uplifted alongside academics. She emphasized that values and discipline are the foundation of true education.
Dr. Gurdeep Singh and Prof. Rajwinderpal Singh also motivated the students to maintain high moral values and to contribute positively to society.
The programme concluded with Vote of Thanks by S. Siasat Singh, Management Member.
Students also presented Sikh Martial Art - Gatka, which was highly appreciated by all.
Guru Ka Langar was served to all students, faculty and visitors.

₹26 Lakh Scholarships Distributed to Needy Students at Akal Degree College
Mastuana Sahib, August 6, 2026:
A scholarship distribution programme was organised at Akal Degree College, Mastuana Sahib, on August 6, 2026, during which scholarships amounting to ₹26 lakh were distributed among needy and deserving students by the Sikh Human Development Foundation (SHDF), Washington, USA. The scholarships were presented by S. G. S. Brar, nominee of SHDF.
The programme was graced by Dr. Ravjot Grewal, SSP, Sangrur, as the Chief Guest. A large number of scholarship recipients attended the programme along with their parents and expressed their gratitude to the college management, administration, and SHDF for extending financial support to deserving students and enabling them to continue their higher education.
The programme commenced with Shabad Gayan, creating a spiritually inspiring atmosphere. During the programme, Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Principal, Akal Degree College, delivered a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the college's facilities, infrastructure, academic provisions, and various teams, cells, clubs, and student-support initiatives. The presentation provided the students, parents, Chief Guest, and SHDF nominee with an overview of the opportunities and facilities available at the college.

On the occasion, Professor Nisha, Department of Music, was also honoured for her contribution to music. She has been performing classical music on All India Radio, Jalandhar.
Addressing the gathering, Sardar Jaswant Singh Khera, Secretary, Akal College Council, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Sikh Human Development Foundation for its generous contribution of ₹26 lakh towards scholarships. He appreciated SHDF's commitment to supporting needy and deserving students and expressed hope that such initiatives would continue to benefit more students in the future.
The stage activities were anchored by Dr. Amandeep Kaur who concluded the program with a sense of gratitude and appreciation for the generous support provided by SHDF and the efforts of the college management and administration in promoting access to higher education.

Akal Degree College, Mastuana Sahib organized the Orientation Programme for the Freshers Batch 2026 on 01st August 2026 under the guidance of Principal Dr. Amandeep Kaur. The programme was conducted on stage by Dr. Harjinder Singh. The newly admitted students along with their parents were welcomed and briefed about the college’s infrastructure including library, labs, classrooms, Akal Seed Farm and sports facilities. Principal Dr. Amandeep Kaur addressed the students and motivated them to focus on discipline, academics and values. Students were made aware of various academic guidelines and the working of important Cells such as IQAC, Placement Cell, Grievance Redressal Cell and Anti-Ragging Cell by Vice-Principal Dr. Sarika Jain. They were also introduced to different Clubs like Literary, Cultural, Science and Eco Club along with the NSS and NCC units. The session concluded with an interactive discussion with faculty and a campus tour. Dr. Joginder Singh proposed the Vote of Thanks.

ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਸੂਚਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਕਾਲ ਡਿਗਰੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਮਸਤੂਆਣਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਜੋਤੀ ਕੌਸ਼ਲ, ਅਸਿਸਟੈਂਟ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ, ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਨਫੋਰਮੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਦੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਚਲਾਣੇ ਦੀ ਦੁਖਦਾਈ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਿੱਕੇ-ਨਿੱਕੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਪੀੜਦਾਇਕ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਪਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵੀ ਚੁੱਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਅਸੀਂ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਵਿਛੜੀ ਰੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਣ, ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਅਸਹਿ ਦੁੱਖ ਸਹਿਣ ਦਾ ਹੌਸਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋਨਾਂ ਬੇਟੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਭਰੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ।
