Sometimes, you have to remind yourself of how close you actually are to getting what you want, achieving your goals and making your dreams come true.
It's so easy to beat yourself up, because you aren't there yet or aren't seeing the results but this weekend, I want you to focus your mind and energy on feeling good about how far you have come and how close you really are.
I want you to take a couple of hours out of your busy schedule and just reflect and think about how much closer you are right now to your dreams and goals than you were 5 or 10 years ago.
I want you to grab a pen, grab a fresh sheet of paper or open a fresh page in your journal and write down the following words at the top of the page.
"I am nearly there..."
Hit play on your favourite feel good playlist, grab a coffee or a green juice and just think about it for a moment or two, because the truth is you are nearly there.
You're only one or two moves away from making it happen, breaking through or finding your grove.
You're only a few months away from getting everything sorted and lined up, so you can blow the world away with your talent, gifts and ideas.
You're only a decision or two away from turning it all around and moving towards your dreams and pursuing you're passion.
I know you're sitting there thinking "yeah... this is great Joe, but the truth is I'm not even close and I'm further behind than I was 10 years ago..."
And you know what, you're right... I know what that feels like and I spent many days beating myself up and thinking I was a million miles away from my dreams and it was getting further away from me each day.
But the truth is, my years of set backs, failures, messing up, not having the money and resources to do what I wanted, made me... they taught me all the things success and winning simply will never teach you.
"Nearly there..." is something I've had to repeat to myself many times in my life and it's always been true, even when I couldn't see it... I could feel it in my heart, that I wasn't that far away...
So get to it, have some fun and remember, you are nearly there or nearly ready to go to the next level and that's always exciting!
