Exposure Visit on Entrepreneurship and Innovation Organized by Bamra Trust Fund College
Bamra, February 13: Bamra Trust Fund College organized an exposure visit to promote awareness on entrepreneurship, innovation, and start-ups. The visit was conducted on 13th February 2026 (Friday) to “RACAF Reform and Accessories,” a plastic bottle manufacturing plant located at Tileimal in Jharsuguda district.
A total of 170 students actively participated in this educational visit. Under the guidance of the faculty members of the Department of Economics, the students gained practical knowledge about the manufacturing process, use of raw materials, functioning of machinery, and marketing strategies of the plant.
The proprietor of the factory, Mr. Chaturbhuja Choudhary, explained in detail about the start-up. He discussed the initial steps of starting the enterprise, capital management, various challenges faced, and his journey towards success. His motivational address inspired the students to develop interest in self-employment and entrepreneurship.
The program was sponsored by Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (PM-USHA) and was organized by the PM-USHA team. The event was mainly coordinated by Miss Anita Horo and Mr. Deepak Kumar Meher. All the staff members of the college cooperated wholeheartedly in making the program successful.
At the end of the visit, the faculty members expressed that such exposure visits provide practical industrial experience to students and encourage them to explore new avenues in entrepreneurship. The program concluded successfully with positive feedback from all participants.

Filaria Medicine Administration Conducted at Bamra Trust Fund College
Bamra, August 13, 2025
A Filaria Medicine Administration Programme was held today at Bamra Trust Fund College, Bamra, as part of the government’s Mass Drug Administration (MDA) campaign aimed at eliminating lymphatic filariasis.
A team of health personnel from the local health department visited the campus and administered anti-filarial medicines to all students and staff. The medicines were given under medical supervision to ensure proper dosage and safety.
College authorities actively supported the initiative, helping ensure smooth coordination and full participation. No adverse reactions were reported during the programme.
The event marked the college’s continued support for public health initiatives and the national goal of making India filaria-free.

Sensitisation Programme on Sexual Harassment and Ragging at Bamra Trust Fund College, Bamra Sambalpur on 13.08.2025
A sensitisation programme was held at Bamra Trust Fund College, Bamra Sambalpur, on 13th August 2025 to raise awareness on the serious issues of Sexual Harassment and Ragging on college campuses. The programme aimed to educate students on how to deal with these issues and encourage a positive, respectful environment within the academic community.
The session began with a welcome address by Miss Anita Horo, the Principal of Bamra Trust Fund College, who introduced the esteemed guests and speakers to the audience.
The chief guest, Mr. Pradeep Kumar Dash, OPS, SDPO Kuchinda, addressed the gathering on the critical issues of sexual harassment, ragging, and violence both within campus premises and outside. Mr. Dash strongly emphasized that such acts of violence should never be tolerated, and students should be empowered to stand against such crimes. He also urged the audience not to view su***de as a solution to any problem and encouraged them to seek help and support in times of distress.
Mr. Rajendra Kumar Behera, IIC, Govindpur Police Station, Bamra, spoke passionately about the preciousness of life and the need to value one’s existence. He encouraged the students to appreciate their lives and not fall into despair due to challenges and pressures they may face.
Mrs. Devjani Chatar, SI, Govindpur Police Station, Bamra, highlighted the various ways to fight against violence. She provided practical tips on how to report incidents of violence, what actions to take, and the importance of legal and community support systems in overcoming such challenges.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Emrencia Barla, expressing gratitude to the speakers, the faculty, and the students for their participation and engagement.
The entire event was smoothly coordinated by Mr. Shyam Sundar Sahoo, Lecturer in English whose efforts ensured the success of the programme.
The sensitisation programme was a valuable initiative that provided a platform for discussion on crucial issues affecting college students and equipped them with knowledge and tools to protect themselves and stand up against violence.

Sanskrit week celebrated in Bamra Trust Fund College, Bamra, Sambalpur
On 12th August 2025, Bamra Trust Fund College, Bamra celebrated Sanskrit Week with great enthusiasm and reverence. As part of the celebration, a Shloka Recitation Competition was organized on the college campus.
Students from various departments actively participated in the event. They recited verses from the Vedas, Upanishads, epics, and classical Sanskrit literature with clarity, rhythm, and devotion. The recitations reflected their deep interest in the Sanskrit language and showcased their pronunciation and oratory skills.

Rangoli Competition on the occasion of Har Ghar Tiranga in Bamra Trust Fund College, Bamra
As part of the nationwide "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign to celebrate the 79th Independence Day of India, Bamra Trust Fund College, Bamra (Sambalpur) organized a vibrant Rangoli Competition on the college premises.
The event aimed to promote patriotism and creative expression among students, highlighting the spirit of unity and national pride. Participants showcased their artistic talents by creating beautiful Rangolis inspired by themes such as the Indian tricolour, freedom fighters, and national symbols.
Students from various departments enthusiastically took part, and the campus was adorned with colorful and meaningful designs. The competition was judged based on creativity, theme relevance, color combination, and overall impact.
