There are 2 no of sluice gates per crest gate, except for the crest gates of both ends where only one sluice gate is there per crest gate.

Right side of Dam (Burla side)
Crest gates →13
Sluice gates →13*2 = 26-2 = 24

Left side of Dam (Hirakud side)
Crest gates →21
Sluice gates →21*2 = 42-2 = 40

Total Crest gates →13+21 = 34
Total Sluice gates →24+40 = 64
Total Main gates →34+64 = 98

Sluice gates are bottom gates.
Crest gates are top gates.
