cultural programs over the last two years. We have seen the potential of these students and we wish to advance their opportunity to take up our national game. We have the skills and desire to coach the sport with these students. Jatinder K Sharma played the game at national level and state level. We also have an ex-serviceman committed to teaching and coaching students in health and fitness who currently owns and facilitates three gyms in our town. There are foreign hockey enthusiasts who are part of our club who are dedicated to coach their skills to students. This includes one women player who is passionate to advance women’s hockey in the area. The benefit of such a programme to our community is the advance of health and fitness amongst our youth in Sambalpur through learning our national game. It has been shown that sport is a main vehicle towards anti-corruption and crime in a community. To provide our youth with such a programme will ensure that they exert their energies into positive outcomes that promote good social behaviours and reduce the potential of them participating in any criminal activity.
