Central University of Jammu to released July-September 2024 issue of the quarterly wall magazine 'Sharda' today.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain, while releasing the issue of quarterly wall magazine 'Sharada' published by the Department of Hindi and Other Indian Languages, said that along with giving various types of information to the people, newspapers and magazines have an important role in bringing awareness in the society.

Central University of Jammu, in collaboration with Vidya Bharati Uchcha Shiksha Sansthan (VBUSS) and Bharatiya Bhasha Samiti under the Ministry of Education, Government of India organized a two-day workshop on “Integrating Indian Philosophy, Indian Languages, and Educational Technology for Developing Model Curriculum in Education”. This initiative is part of a broader effort to align India’s educational system with the National Education Policy 2020 and to promote a more holistic, inclusive, and multidisciplinary approach to education.
Prof. Kailash Chandra Sharma, National President of VBUSS , Chief Guest of the event emphasized the importance of inclusive educational practices and the role of student bodies in shaping academic policies. He appreciated such initiatives taken by VBUSS along with different Universities in organizing informative workshops.
An insightful discourse by Sh. K.N. Raghunandan, Organising Secretary VBUSS where he highlighted the need of dedicated and committed involvement of youth in the educational journey for providing quality education. He called upon the educationists to come forward cohesively to build up the right path of NEP 2020 implementation.
Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu (CUJ) highlighted the advancements in educational technologies and their potential for transforming traditional learning environments. He cited examples from the ancient Indian philosophies that need to be incorporated with the modern technologies considering its impact on the younger generation.

One-week workshop on drone technology and its applications was organized by the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering under UGC-MMTTC at Central University of Jammu. The workshop covered several key areas, including drone hardware and software, regulations, and hands-on flying sessions.

Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev Jain graced the event with his kind presence, and he motivated the faculty members, research scholars, participants to enhance the research and development skills in the field of drone technology to solve the various problems of key sectors such as defense and agriculture.

An awareness campaign under Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 (SHS-2024) Implementation Phase on "Toilet Etiquettes" was successfully organized at the Central University of Jammu. The drive was organized under the patronage of Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev Jain.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness among the Safai Mitras and the surrounding community about essential hygiene practices to prevent the spread of diseases.
NCC Senior Division (SD) Boys of the 4th J&K Battalion, in collaboration with the SHS-2024 team, took an active part in this campaign. The cadets distributed informative pamphlets on toilet etiquettes and relevant governmental welfare schemes under the theme "Swabhav Swachhata, Sanskaar Swachhata". The campaign highlighted best cleanliness and hygiene practices to ensure a cleaner, healthier environment for all.
