Q) Why do copper vessels turn green over time, and how can you clean them using everyday household items?

When copper is exposed to air and moisture, it reacts with oxygen, carbon dioxide, and water to form a green coating called *basic copper carbonate*.

🧪 The Science Clean-Up:
Since copper carbonate is basic, an acid easily dissolves it! You can clean copper vessels using:
- *Lemon & Salt:* Citric acid reacts with the tarnish to restore the shine.
- *Vinegar & Baking Soda:* Acetic acid strips away the oxide layer quickly.

Save this concept for your exams and share it with fellow science students! 💡
