Congratulations to Dr. S. Madhubalan and Dr. M. Murali, faculty members of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Sona College of Technology, on successfully completing the AICTE–QIP PG Certificate Programme on Intelligent Transport Systems for Electric Vehicles at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal.
Both faculty members achieved the highest grade point, reflecting their strong commitment to advancing knowledge and research in Electric Vehicle technologies and Intelligent Transport Systems.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a Half-Day Workshop on “Future of UAV: Innovation in Drone Technology” for EEE students. The session was delivered by Dr. C. Thiruvasagam, IIC Director, Flytutor Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Tiruchengode.
The workshop provided valuable insights into drone technology, UAV architecture, flight control systems, sensors, and emerging applications in fields such as agriculture, surveillance, mapping, and disaster management.

Industry–Institute Interaction | Technical Visit to SonaSPEED Private Ltd (SSPL), Bengaluru
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized an enriching Industry–Institute Interaction visit to SonaSPEED, Bengaluru, providing students with valuable exposure to advanced industrial practices.
During the visit, students presented their award-winning project “Nexus AI”, recognized at the Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2026. The presentation was followed by an engaging discussion with the SonaSPEED technical team, who shared insightful suggestions on integrating AI-driven systems with industrial power electronics and electric drives, which will help refine the project for the upcoming Global MECA Competition.
The visit also included a facility tour, where students observed solar-powered infrastructure, advanced CNC machining, and industrial finishing processes such as anodizing, used in high-precision components for space and defense sectors.
The interaction provided a valuable opportunity to connect academic innovation with real-world industrial applications.
We sincerely thank Mr. Chocko Valliappa, Vice Chairman, Dr. S. R. R. Senthilkumar, Principal, and the SSPL team for their warm hospitality and technical mentorship.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in *association with IEEE*, successfully organized a technical session on “PCB Design Using EASY EDA”
The session was handled by Nareshvar R. N (IV EEE) and Sarath Raj M (IV EEE), who provided practical insights into PCB designing fundamentals, schematic creation, component placement, routing techniques, and real-time design implementation using EASY EDA tools for III Year EEE Students.
The workshop offered hands-on exposure and enhanced students practical knowledge in circuit design and electronic product development. The interactive session motivated participants to explore PCB design for innovative engineering applications.
