On Sunday, 17th March 2024, a public function - Sri Ramakrishna Jayanthi- Guru Puja was celebrated at Manjakuttai Mandhai, Yercaud, Salem District as per the program detailed in the invitation.

About 325 men, women and children and about 25 Volunteers of Ashram participated in the celebration.

Greetings from Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Salem.

189 th Jayanthi Celebration of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna was celebrated on 12/3/24.

For this Auspicious Occasion, our Ashrama honoured 380 outsourced and hardworking staff (Housekeeping and Security) of Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College and Hospital, Salem, by presenting each one them with a lunchbox costing Rupees 340 each.

This has brought immense happiness to each one of them.

Our Devotee Sri A. S. Ramesh also presented 10 no's of SS Wheelchairs to GMKMCH, Salem, through Lodge Montfort.

Hospital Authorities, Devotees and Members of Lodge Montfort joined in the Presentation Function.

Today 27th Oct 2023

First Aid Camp conducted by Ramakrishna Mission Charitable Dispensary, Salem at Kottai Marriamman Temple Kumbabisekam Festival.

Camp started at 7.00 a.m today and ended at 4.20 p.m

6500 water bottles, 2500 Oral Dehydration Solution were also distributed.

Police personnel around the temple are provided with water and oral Dehydration at their place directly.

Our Volunteers took responsibility and cleaned all empty plastic bottles and plastic garbage items on streets and disposed off everything through Corporation Staff.

*Diwali Distribution at the Leprosy Rehabilitation Centre, Thalaivasal, Attur on 21/10/23 and at Seliyampatti, Dharmapuri on 22/10/23.*

Our volunteers visited the Government Leprosy Rehabilitation Centre at Deviyakurichi, Thalaivasal, Attur and presented the 56 inmates with new clothes(*sarees or nighties, inskirts and towels for the women inmates and lungis, shirts and towels for the men and their children were given new dresses* according to their gender and age) sweets, biscuits, Gentamicin ointment for their open wounds, bandage cloth, cotton rolls, bathing soaps ( two no’s each), detergent washing cake, toothpaste and toothbrush.

A full set of provisions was also presented to them for their Diwali lunch.

A similar presentation was done for the 40 inmates at the Government Leprosy Rehabilitation Centre, Seliyampatti, Dharmapuri.

Our Ashrama has been involved in this work for more than 30 years.

Happy Independence Day.

On this happy occasion of our Bharat’s 77 th Independence Day, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Salem, honoured 117 Corporation Staff from Wards 14, 15 and 16 by giving them Sweets and Biscuits as a token of gratitude for their service to the society.

Swami Yatatmananda, Secretary,
Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Salem, along with volunteers and devotees, handed over the sweets and biscuits to all the staff who came in person.

A small booklet of Holy Mother was also given to all the staff.

Swamiji also motivated each one by telling them that are all Bharat Matha.

Gratitude to the volunteers for taking up this cause and organising the gifts.

On 30.05.2023 Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Salem distributed FREE BUTTERMILK at the Annual Ratha Festival celebrated at Sherveroyan Temple, Yercaud, Salem District in which thousands of Devotees participated from all villages of Yercaud.

700 litres of butter milk was distributed to 2057 Devotees from 10.00 a.m to 3.00 p.m.
