The present medical college shall have a hospital having 500 bed strength with road access on Saharanpur Ambala National Highway.
The purpose of state medical college education policy is to provide healthcare for all citizens of the state and to train students. At present there are 61655 trained medical manpower in the state as per doctors registered with State Medical Council Of India. The doctor population ratio in the state is 1:3456. The catchment area of this medical college shall be urban and rural population of Distt.

Welcome to the Government Medical College, Saharanpur. Dr. Sangeeta Aneja joined as First Principal at Goverment Allopathic Medical College Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh in April 2013.She is Professor of Radio Diagnosis. She has been involved with the under graduate and postgraduate teaching and research and has published many scientific publications. Her aim is to implement State medical college education policy to provide healthcare for all citizens of the state and to trained students in this area of UP state.
