Academy Bids an Emotional Farewell to Sir Mohammad Shahad

The Academy organised a heartfelt farewell ceremony in honour of Sir Mohammad Shahad, recognising his dedicated service of more than three decades. The occasion was filled with gratitude and emotion as the school community gathered to celebrate the remarkable journey of a respected teacher and mentor.

The programme began with a prayer service seeking God’s blessings for Sir Shahad’s future. Teachers also conducted a special prayer service expressing appreciation for his sincerity, commitment, and invaluable contribution to the institution.

Rev. Fr. John Chiman, the Manager, praised Sir Shahad for his unwavering dedication, humility, and inspiring personality. Students presented melodious songs and graceful dances as a tribute to his immense contribution, while teachers shared heartfelt speeches and songs recalling memorable moments with him.

In his farewell address, Sir Mohammad Shahad thanked the management, colleagues, students, and parents for their constant support and affection throughout his journey at the Academy. He described the institution as his second home and said that the memories would always remain close to his heart.

As a token of love and appreciation, Sir Shahad was honoured with a shawl, mementoes, bouquets, and gifts presented by the Manager, the Principal, and senior teachers.

Rev. Sr. Sheela, the Principal, appreciated his selfless service and stated that his sincerity, discipline, and compassion had left a lasting impact on the Academy.

The programme concluded with the National Anthem, leaving behind an atmosphere filled with gratitude, respect, and cherished memories.

🐅🌿 Awareness Programme on Big Cat Conservation 🌿🐆

In view of the upcoming 1st International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) Summit 2026, scheduled to be held on 1st–2nd June 2026 at New Delhi under the theme “Save Big Cats | Save Ecosystem | Save Humanity”, various awareness activities were organized in the school to educate students about the importance of wildlife conservation and ecological balance.

The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the conservation and protection of the seven Big Cat species — Tiger, Lion, Leopard, Snow Leopard, Cheetah, Jaguar, and Puma — and to inspire young minds to care for nature and biodiversity.

As part of the campaign, students actively participated in a Big Cat Conservation Pledge during the morning assembly. An Awareness Rally was also organized in the school campus where students carried creative placards and banners displaying meaningful slogans such as “Save Big Cats, Save Ecosystems, Save Humanity.”

The rally beautifully highlighted the significance of protecting wildlife and preserving ecological harmony. Awareness videos related to big cat conservation were also screened for students in classrooms and gatherings to deepen their understanding of the issue.

The enthusiastic participation of students made the programme informative, impactful, and inspiring for all. 🌎💚

Students of St. Mary’s Academy brought laurels to the institution by securing Gold Medals of Excellence and Distinction in the International Maths Olympiad. 💐🥰

Their outstanding achievement reflects their hard work, dedication, analytical skills, and passion for mathematics. The academy proudly congratulates the students for their remarkable success and applauds the constant support of their parents and teachers who guided them throughout the journey. 🥰🥰

During the morning assembly, the certificates were presented to the achievers by the Manager of the Academy, Rev. Fr. John Chiman, and the Principal, Rev. Sr. Sheela Solanki, who appreciated and encouraged the students for their commendable performance.

A Standard Writing Competition was organized under the theme “Learning Science by Standards” by the Bureau of Indian Standards (Dehradun Branch) to spread awareness among students about quality products and standardization.

The programme was conducted in the Academy, where Mr. Priyanshu, Standards Promotion Officer from the Dehradun Branch, guided students about the importance of using quality-certified products and adopting proper standards in daily life. He highlighted the significance of ISI-marked products and encouraged students to spread awareness in society regarding quality and safety standards.

The Principal Rev. Sr. Sheela Solanki also motivated the students to use standard products and inspired them to actively participate in the competition.

Empowering Citizens Through Digital Self Enumeration: Nagar Nigam Conducts Special Awareness Workshop

In a significant step towards promoting digital governance and citizen participation, a dedicated team from the Nagar Nigam conducted an extensive awareness and training workshop on the process of Self Enumeration (HLO Login) for senior students and teachers. The special session aimed at educating and empowering participants to assist their families and society in completing the online self-enumeration process efficiently.

The distinguished delegation included Kumari Shruti Maheshwari, Tax Assessment Officer, and Shri Sudhir Sharma, Tax Superintendent, who highlighted the importance of accurate digital self-enumeration and its vital role in strengthening civic administration.

The workshop was conducted by an experienced panel comprising Shri Shravan Kumar, Dr. Vikram Singh, and Shri Vijendra Singh, while the technical support team included Shri Manoj Kumar, Shri Raghav, Shri Sanjeev Joshi, and Shri Sagar Dang.

During the session, the officials provided a detailed demonstration of the login procedures and online application process for Self Enumeration through the HLO portal. Senior students and teachers were guided step-by-step on how to access the portal and complete the process smoothly. They were also motivated to provide digital assistance to the heads of their families and encourage wider participation in the initiative.

The workshop witnessed enthusiastic involvement from both students and teachers, reflecting a strong commitment towards embracing digital civic services. The initiative successfully promoted awareness, digital literacy, and responsible citizen participation, inspiring the younger generation to contribute actively towards a technologically empowered and digitally connected society.
