St. Carmel School, Roopnagar, organised an Educational Visit to the Post Office for the students of Grade III, providing them with an enriching opportunity to understand the functioning of a postal service.

During the visit, the students learned about the process of sending letters and parcels, postage stamps, postcards, envelopes, and the importance of postal services in our daily lives. They also gained insights into how letters and parcels are collected, sorted, processed, and delivered to their respective destinations.

The visit helped students connect their classroom learning with real-life experiences and understand the importance of communication, responsibility, and efficient public services.

For the young learners, it was an engaging and informative experience that broadened their knowledge and made learning more practical, interactive, and memorable.

The visit provided students with a wonderful opportunity to explore our rich historical and cultural heritage. They learned about ancient artefacts, archaeological discoveries, coins, sculptures, pottery, tools, and the lifestyle of people from bygone eras. The interactive experience helped them connect classroom learning with real historical evidence and deepened their understanding of the past.

On the momentous occasion of the 80th Independence Day, St. Carmel School, Roopnagar, proudly participated in the grand Independence Day celebrations held at Nehru Stadium, Roopnagar, with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The atmosphere was vibrant as the entire stadium came alive with the spirit of unity, pride, and patriotism.
Students dressed in tricolour attire and army uniforms looked splendid, symbolising the nation’s strength, sacrifice, and rich heritage. Their enthusiastic participation and performances reflected their deep love and respect for the motherland.

A total of 325 students from St. Carmel School participated in this prestigious event, showcasing their talent, discipline, and dedication towards representing their school and nation with pride.

The occasion was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Deputy Commissioner, Roopnagar, Mr. Aaditya Dachalwal,ADC Dr. Aksh*ta Gupta, MLA, Roopnagar, Mr. Dinesh Kumar Chadda, MLA, Chamkaur Sahib, Dr. Charanjit Singh Channi,SDM Roopnagar, DEO, Mr. Prem Kumar Mittal,and DSC Ms. Sharanjit Kaur. Their esteemed presence added dignity and honour to the celebrations and inspired the young participants to value and uphold the hard-earned freedom of our nation.

Through their participation, students learned about the significance of independence and the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters. The celebrations concluded with the presentation of tokens of appreciation, making the occasion a cherished and memorable experience for everyone. It was not merely a celebration, but a meaningful reminder to every young mind that freedom comes with the responsibility to uphold it through respect, unity, discipline, and dedication.

On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, St. Carmel School proudly hosted the Flag Hoisting Ceremony, filling the school campus with a deep sense of patriotism, pride, and unity. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Patron Sardar Amarjit Singh Saini Ji and Development Manager Mrs. Jaya Saini Ji, whose inspiring presence added to the significance of the occasion.

The ceremony featured a disciplined and energetic March Past by the students, reflecting their respect for the nation and dedication of our armed forces. The students participated with great enthusiasm, demonstrating discipline, unity, and national pride.

The celebration concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, as the tricolour fluttered proudly in the sky. The moment reminded everyone of the sacrifices and struggles of our freedom fighters and the responsibility we share in preserving the values of freedom, unity, and harmony.
