We are delighted to share a proud moment as our talented student, Miss Avneet Kaur, D/O Mr. Satnam Singh, of Class 9th-A, was honoured for her remarkable achievements in Chess under the “Mission Fit Girls” initiative by the Inner Wheel Club.

Miss Avneet Kaur has represented at the State level in Chess in both the Under-14 and Under-17 categories. She has also brought laurels to the institution through her outstanding performances:

Chess – Under-17 District Level: 2nd Position
Chess – Under-14: 1st Position last year
Chess – Under-14: State Player

St. Carmel School takes immense pride in recognising and celebrating the dedication, talent, and achievements of our young sportswomen.

The felicitation ceremony was held today at SM Resort, Roopnagar, as part of the “Mission Fit Girls” initiative by the Inner Wheel Club, honouring girls for their accomplishments and inspiring them to pursue excellence in every field.

Peace is not merely the absence of conflict; it is the presence of understanding, kindness, respect and compassion. International Day of Peace, observed every year on 21 September, reminds us of the importance of building a world where people live together with harmony, dignity and mutual respect.

At St. Carmel School, Roopnagar, we believe that the foundation of a peaceful society is laid in the hearts and minds of young learners. Education teaches children to appreciate differences, resolve disagreements through dialogue, extend kindness to others and stand for what is right. Every kind word, helping hand and thoughtful action contributes to creating a more peaceful environment.

On this International Day of Peace, let us encourage our children to spread positivity, practise empathy, respect one another and choose dialogue over conflict.
