Rayat International School organised a workshop of Adolescence issue for girls of classes VI to XII on November 5, 2019. The session was taken by Ms.Nisha Sharma. The session commenced with an explanation of the development stages like physical changes, psychological changes (which control thoughts and behaviour), Emotional changes (reasons for mood swings) and social changes (it impacts their relationship with parents, friends and siblings).
Educating adolescent girls may perhaps be the only way to put an end to the seemingly never-ending cycle of issues like drop out, low attendance and low age of marriage and low status of women.
The main issues dealt were menstrual hygiene and management, school sanitation and good and bad touch. Girls cleared lots of doubts and asked many questions.

In RIS the Interact club has been activated on 27th August 2018 by the ROTARY CLUB,RUPNAGAR.

Interact Club is a students body which works for the welfare of the society.The Rotary Club members:
Dr.Usha Bhatia (Director community)
Ms.Suman Tyagi (Director Youth)
Mr.J.K Bhatia (President) and
Mr.Kulwant Singh visited the school.

Ms. Suman Tyagi addressed the students during the assembly. She told the students how this club was started and also about the objectives of the club.A five member student team for the session 2018-2019 has been constituted which includes:

TREE PLANTATION DRIVE

"The best time to plant a tree was 20 Years ago.The second best time is NOW".

The Tree Plantation Drive was held on 30th July 2018 at RIS. All 'STUDENT OF MONTH' were gifted with a sapling to plant it in the school campus.In the spirit of the day, they had planted the plants . All the students were very enthusiastic and thoroughly enjoyed the plantation, even though they all got wet and muddy - they loved it. Tree planting event connected the students to the benefits of tress and fostered environmental sensitivity in them.It also brought them closer to the environment.Principal Mrs.Subha Rathore encouraged students to preserve tress which play a vital role in maintaining the ecological balance. She added that it is the responsibility of one of us to not only grow trees but also to take care and protect them.

SOF MEDAL DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY
“A dream becomes a goal when action is taken toward its achievements.”
Keeping alive the traditions of excellence and awarding the high Olympiads achievers, RIS distributed, SOF medals and certificates to the winners on 26th July 2018. It was an Endeavour to acknowledge and award students for their continuing saga of glorious achievements in SOF.
Chinmaya Gupta of +1 bagged an International Rank 2nd and zonal rank 1.
Anubhav of X achieved 2nd impressed and motivated by their performance.
Prinicipal Mrs. Subha Rathore congratulated the winners and advised the students to remain firmly disciplined, obedient and studious for molding their life and character.

Another feather added in the cap of Rayat International School as CBSE declared class 12th board exams .Damandeep Kaur of + 2 non medical stood first in the school by scoring 95.2% second position in the school has been bagged by Pooja Sharma of non medical group by scoring 94.6% .Harpreet Kaur of commerce group bagged third position by scoring 93.2% . In the medical group Manraj Choudhary stood first in the class with 91.2% Sajitha Choudhary got second position with 89.4% and third position has been bagged by Komal Dhiman scoring 87.8% In non medical group first ,second and third positions have been bagged by Damandeep ,Pooja Sharma and Sumit Kumar Mehta respectively . In commerce group first second and third positions have been achieved by Harpreet Kaur Jasleen Kaur and Navdeep Saini respectively . Principal Mrs Subha Rathore on behalf of all the Rayat International school faculty has congratulated all the students as well as their parents for bringing laurels to the school.
